Does everyone know this -
"As of Monday 12 January, all passport-holders previously eligible to travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program must now obtain approval through the USA's Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) before they travel. It's a simple, no-charge online process. Applications and further information can be found on the ETSA website." I didnt know this until I read it in the paper!! |

I found out about this when I was looking up airfares to the United States the other night. Only took a few minutes to do and now I don't have to worry about doing it later as my trip approaches

hey guys here's the link to get approval for entry into the US. www.cbp.gov/esta.
this is only for countries that have an agreement with the US (EG. UK, Australia, NZ..) so if you are from a country where u would normally need a visa to get in (eg. african & asian countries etc.) you still need a visa. once u have approval from ESTA its valid for 2 years. you need to have this before you board your plane to the states so dont forget coz u cant do it at the airport coz its takes up to 72 hrs for approval. |

I've known about this for months. Before my last trip to the states in June 08 I regularly checked the US customs website.Laws change all time.I don't think it's a big deal as long as you don't have a criminal record. Also I'm pretty sure from Aug 08 you need an e passport for entry to the states.
