hi i'm heading off on the september 12 tour i am trying to get things in order and was just wondering how much most people budgeted a day in order to have a good time. Any tips would be great
You pay for all the optional excursions at the end of your trip, either with a credit card or cash to your tour manager. I did this tour in July (it's AMAZING by the way), I think about half the dinners and breakfasts were included, so you just need to budget for the rest that are not. We never ate at fancy places, so roughly $25 for dinners and anywhere from $10 to $25 for lunch. I recommend Zog's in Whistler...great hot dog's. Dead Dog's pub in Jasper is good too and the steak cookout as part of the horseback ride in Banff is very good!!!!!! Drinks are roughly $3-$6 dollars with $10 pitcher spirits at Mojo's in Whistler. We were always on the guest list at the bars, so there was no cover charge! In Banff, we stayed in chalets which had a full kitchen, so we each were given $10 to buy food for breakfast, etc. I think most chalets pooled their money together and bought food for the days we were there. It was a nice change, especially for someone who loves their fruit and veggies. This tour is loads of fun. All the optionals are great and definitely worth doing The scenery is unbelievable!!!! Enjoy each moment, as the ten days flew by!!! Have fun!!!!
