I'm also booked on the Grand Northern and I can't wait!! I'm arriving in NY on 23rd July, staying at Hotel Beacon, then after the tour am staying 2 nights and 1 day in LA, then on to Hawaii. I would really love to go to a baseball game somewhere (probably NY) and would really like to go witb someone else.... anyone interested?? You can't go to the States and not watch a ball game!!

My name is Tracy, I am doing the Grand Northern with you. I have done one other contiki before through Europe, the European Adventure in 2004. I am excited aobut our America trip. I am American and live in Southern California, but I have never seen most of the places that we will be visiting, so I am super excited!! I have no good advice for cheap hotels in Anaheim, and I didn't even know that we had hostels in California, so if you find one, good for you!

Amy, I would skip the trip to Tijuana, Mexico, it is a dump and would take up soooo much of your time. It would be better for you to visit some of the great beaches that are nearby Anaheim like Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach. And I would definitely go to LA to see Hollywood etc. Good luck on all of your planning!!!

Hope we are all getting excited...3 weeks to go!! I'm an Aussie from Sydney but living in London at the moment. I did the Southern Adventure in the US last year (plus a Europe tour in 2004) and had such a great time i'm back for more of the Contiki fun times

I'm arriving in NY on the 23rd but I have already done alot of the touristy stuff as I spent 2 weeks there in 2001. So if anyone has anything a little bit more unique planned I may well be up for it.
