Am currently trying to book the Grand Northern as this trip will be the start of 4 months travelling. I was wondering if anyone knows where you are picked up from the morning of the trip...New York is a big place...?

heya well yes new york is a huge place but your travel agent should advise you of where the pick up place is,if not it sould be on your itinerary,when i did my first contiki tour starting in LA my dodgy travel agent didnt tell us the meeting place had changed but luckily the night before we found that out when we went to go to the pre-meeting,in new york i think its usually the hotel beacon which i think is on 72nd street ,its easy to get to just a simple subway ride away or taxi

My name is Kathy and i'm going to be on the same tour with a friend of mine. I'm actually am lucky to be going as i woork full time and my boss wasn't going to give me the time off.
I will be in san francisco on the 20th july and will fly into new york on the 22nd. after the tour i will be staying in LA till the 22nd August to go to work two days later.
anyway am looking forward to it and getting to meet you and your friends. Where are you from? I'm from the central coast an hour north of sydney.

And Kathy, to answer your question, me and my mates are from Ingleburn, which is like 45 mins south west of Sydney! We'll be in NYC from the 20th July and then staying in LA till the 28th August
