Just wondering if anyone is planning on going on the Grand Northern tour for a month, leaving on 14th September 2007? My friend Cherie & i are and we are both really excited!! Can't wait to meet everyone going and to explore America!!

Me and my friend Clare will be doing that tour and we are really excited too! I'm going to do the Big Apple Explorer for the 3 days before the tour. Have you ever done a Contiki before? I did the Southern Adventure in September last year and had soooo much fun. Where abouts are you and your friend from? Clare and I are both from the Sutherland Shire.

I did, but after looking at this girl's website of her photos of both tours I was sold on Canada and the parts of the US that the Grand Northern visits.

How are you? Never done a Contiki, but it looks awesome and i have heard such great things about them. Cherie & i plan to spend 4 extra days after the tour and go to Disneyland & Universal Studios. I'll be going on the Grand Northern 14 Sep 07. I'm going alone and would like to know if anyone else is going alone?? I'll be doing the Big Apple before the tour and then spending a couple of extra nights at the end of the tour. I'm a little nervous as this is my first Contiki but i am also very excited!!!

Can anyone give me any tips?? What to pack etc??

Me and my friend are going to be doing the same thing as you (Big Apple before the Grand Northern then staying on at the end). Don't worry about being by yourself, I did my first Contiki on my own and had a blast! You make friends with everyone really quickly and everyone is there to have a good time like you!

In relation to packing, mainly just take casual clothes but take a few smarter outfits for special nights out (like in Vegas and things like that). Last time I went to the USA I ended up buying heaps of clothes over there so maybe keep some extra room in your suitcase!!

Hi to all who will being the September 16 Grand Northern. Michael from New Zeal;and again. Whats the best thing to take as luggage -m suitcase or backpack. I am alos doing the tour solo so will be good to meet new people on tour. Have all 3 i have done so far solo godd way of meeting new people.
