Im actually doing the Big Apple Explorer before this tour and I am staying at the hotel that Contiki stay at. Then after the tour I'm in LA for 2 nights at the Best Western, again where Contiki stay, for 2 nights then I'm off to San Fran. I'm doing the Grand Southern before this tour. I'm also travelling solo and I think there are a few of us who are travelling solo

I'm doing the same tour - staying at where Contiki recommend - the Marrakech hotel in NY and Best Western in LA!
I'll be 22 and solo too!

we are ataying at the Marrakech B4 the tour and then at the best western after it.
we then head off to San Fran and the Vancouver for a rockies tour.....57 days of fun in total.

i am not styig at marrakech in ny before but a hotel in modtown. am staying at stovalls inn afterwards.

im from perth and 23 years old travelling solo.

cant wait only 12 weeks today until tour starts, 11 weeks before leave perth. cant wait at all

I'll be doing this trip aswell, also solo, so I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'll be at the Beacon Hotel beforehand. I'll be staying at the best western in Anaheim before moving on up to San Fran for a week (via Bakersfield).

I'll be turning 22 during the tour aswell.

I am doing the grand southern starting july 19th then the big apple explorer before this tour and then ive got 2 nights at the best western in anaheim also and then im off to san fran for 14 days and staying at the green tortoise hostel.

I've just booked this tour, so have not booked accom yet. I think I'll stay at the Marrakech in NY. Is that where the tour leaves from?

After the tour, I'm heading north to Canada for a few weeks. I'm then heading back to NY and doing the Grand Southern on 26/9.

I'm going solo and haven't been to America before.

I haven't booked my pre and post night yet. My booking agency couldn't give me the names of prefered Contiki hotel.
Does someone knows where does the tour start ? In which hotel is the meeting point ?

Hi Alex,

The Marrakech has sold out before the tour, so I'm staying at a youth hostel which is very close. I think the tour leaves from the Marrakech, so they will probably have a pre-departure meeting the night before.

I've just called Contiki and they confirmed me the tour starts at the Marrakech Hotel.

I've finally opted for the Astor on the Park Hotel which is 2 blocks from there. Quite easy so.

Hey Everyone - not long now!
Just in case there are any more late bookers like me or anyone else actually wanting to get into the Marrakech pre-tour, I've just booked myself a confirmed room for the 14th @ Marrakech on expedia.co.uk - they have a 30% sale on at the moment and it was even slightly cheaper than booking direct with the Hotel.

Hi Guys, I'm on the tour too and stay some days in New York before as well.
I am 26 years old, male, from Germany.
Some people wrote they want to meet in New York go to Facebook and so on. I am not in those sorts of communities and so maybe there is another way to come together.
I will be at New York Aug. 12th. Maybe we can define a place and a time to meet or write by e-mail. Are some guys meating already?????
