I have just applied to become a driver with Contiki europe, honestly do not know if there are any other gay drivers/staff that work for them, suppose I will find out when I actually start with them. I am not into the scene or any of the typical gay things so do not know how I will fare with it all, but only time will tell. At least there will be one gay person on a trip whatever one they put me on.

I have been on 2 tours, and I have never been the only gay person on the tour. Tone of gays, one tour by pure luck had 7 on our bus. Everyone is usually really cool with it and the tour guides love it because we are the life of the parties. and as alot of Canadians are on the trips, they usually have a more relaxed attitude about it. Thats my 2 cents worth.

I just did the European Experience in May and I was the only gay guy... it was kinda awkward at first, but seriously, im glad there weren't any others cause generally when you have a whole bunch of gay guys together for x amount of days, there is always drama lol...

Hi there. I know this is a late reply but I travelled on Contiki in 1999. I was the only gay guy on the bus and everyone was so accepting and friendly ! I didnt divulge I was gay straight away but just had fun and we all hit it off ! it didnt matter about sexuality I felt on Contiki .. everybody was there to have fun and enjoyed the trip and life which made it so memorable ! hope this helps...
