Hi,I was on that magnificent tour, the summer of 78(GES91)on the other bus.It was the first time that 2 buses have gone together.Over the past 4 months I have made contact with about 13 off our 2 buses.From your bus I have made contact with Porno Peter and Sug,they married and live in Melbourne and Barry from you bus who married Linda on our bus.It is 30 years this year and I am getting a copy of our trip book which should be fun.Not sure if you would remember me,they use to call me the Barcelona Kid and my mate was Wally.let me know if you remember.regards Ron
I'm really confused. I don't know the exact dates, but I was on a 21 countries, Contiki tour, the summer of 1978. It was the longest tour Contiki offered at that time. In fact, I think they discontinued it after our year. I thought at first I must be mistaken abou the number of countries and that your tour must have been the same as mine but our courier was Chris (Danny was our driver and Meghan our cook, though). On our tour were a married couple, Sally and Nigel, two Tasmanian brothers or cousins (can't remember which), Tim and Drew and a fellow called Peter. I was the youngest at 19 and one of only 3 Canadians. If anyone can help me figure this out, I would be grateful.
Hi there. No, you werent on our Contiki European tour. Our Courier was James, our driver was Danny and our supercook was Meg. Maybe you did a tour after us. We left on 3 June, 1978 I think it was.
Our tour was 9 weeks long and it was amazing. We had 2 buses travelling together.
