I'm totally nervous about it! But I have a friend who has gone on a Contiki trip and said it was a lot of fun and there's nothing to be nervous about, so that helped. I think once we're there we'll be overwhelmed with everything that's going on that we'll forget about our nerves. =) and look... we've already met each other. haha.
Whew...glad to hear that I'm not the only one. So, what's your flight like? I've been lucky, I have a direct flight to Rome. I'm leaving from Toronto. Are you flying out of LA?
I'm actually doing a Greece tour with Contiki first and then doing the Italy tour, so I'll have a short flight from Athens to Rome, shouldn't be too bad. I'm leaving out of LA though to get to Athens. That's awesome that you got a direct flight. Are you getting there in the morning?
I will be arriving in Rome at 8am. I read somewhere that you can't check into the hotel until 2pm. Have you heard that? I was suppose to do Greece first actually. I was gonna go with a few friends..but I decided against it for a few reasons. You'll have an awesome time. How long is that tour? You'll be a Contiki expert by the time you get to Italy!
Hmm...I haven't heard anything about the check in time but 2pm sounds about right. The Greece tour is 13 days...woohoo! I know I'll be an expert and tell you all the details!! haha. I'm debating whether I should get to Rome at 10am or 3pm... what do you think???
Hey Michal! Yeah, I just rechecked and it does infact say that check in is at 2pm. If I were you, I'd prefer coming into Rome at 3pm. This way you can get to the hotel first, rest a bit and get things organized. Or, you may want to get in early this way you can explore Rome a bit. Just not sure how the whole luggage thing would work. I'm actually starting to wonder what I'll do on my own for all that time. I just hope I can atleast leave my luggage at the hotel ( probably). It will be weird exploring on my own though...can't believe Im doing this on my own! I can't wait to hear about Greece..starting to get a bit jealous! Hey, do you speak either Italian or Greek. Ok so I get in at 2pm! I'll be at the hotel right when it's time to check in. =) I'm sure you'll be able to leave your bags at the hotel..maybe there will be some other contiki people there that you can go exploring with! That'll be fun! I know I can't believe I'm going on my own either but it's gonna be great! I don't speak greek or italian, only hebrew as another language so I'm screwed! haha. You can help me out in Italy when I try to bargain for stuff. =)

Hey Michal! This is my first solo trip too, i'm so nervous! But also really excited. I think it'll be a great way to meet new people. Less than six weeks to go! And even less for you, you're so lucky going on the greece trip first, that was one of the other trips i considered. So have you done much travelling/been to europe before? Speak to you soon Hayley
I'm really nervous too but then the excitement takes over. I know I can't believe I'm leaving in less than a month, its crazy! I've traveled before to London, Paris and Switzerland but this was when I was 18 and I feel like I can appreciate it more now! Greece & Italy are definitely my top 2! How about you, have you traveled much before?
