OK - looks like there are 4 of us all on the same plane to Rome. I can make a placard saying "Simply Italy" at the Airport in TO (like a limo driver) - lol. We need to meet for sure.

Ashley - great to have you aboard! I'm so excited to get this trip started. I can't remember right now how much of a layover I have in TO, but I can check...

Carrie and Chris - Almost time!! Will you seriously be wearing the Contiki T-shirt? I don't have one, but could find something distinctive to wear

well hello to you all again! For those that have just signed up... I am also going solo... but I am from New Zealand, living in Leeds, UK We have had a cold snap go through (not as cold as there!) so I wouldn't hope for too warm a climate (frm what I have heard!). I will also miss the first night tea as I dont arrive until about 9 pm. I dont know if its just a cross cultural thing but you are all staying at the Roma Park HOTEL aren't you? OH, I can't wait to meet everyone and see the sights!

I'm sure we'll all find each other somehow... there can't be tooo many people travelling to Rome at this time... maybe we'll get the plane to ourselves :-) (fingers crossed) or at least rows of seats anyway... plenty of leg room...

Yea, I did the Scotland tour with the UK & Ireland that went to the Military Tattoo late Aug/Sep 2007, why? I wasn't able to make it out to the Haggis night though... but everyone enjoyed the bagpipes and the food... I think Lyn's not coming in till later as well... it's usually not a big deal... usu. first night's an icebreaker sort of a meet and greet...

Nicole, you can give us the heads up when we all get to Rome on the hot nightspots I figured I'd have enough time in Rome when the tour ends... I think we have a couple of nights...

I wonder if I should watch Gladiator before I leave lol

I will probably be the last of the four of us to get in TO, I don't arrive till 6:30.

I am so excited...now if I only knew what to pack...

I have a friend in London who has a friend in Rome who is a Hotel manager there. He knows all the hot spots in the city so I am trying to get the scoop.

Nicole we will all be there Friday afternoon.

What happened to our other canadians..haven't seen a post in awhile.

Ashley - I've bought a transfer from the airport to the hotel through Contiki (costs about $28 Cdn one way). They pick us up at Terminal B in the Rome Airport. Since you're on the same flight as me, Chris and Carrie - we can all head to that Terminal once we get to Rome - I'm sure you can buy it there too.

Chris and Carrie - I'll be looking for you in TO airport.

Hopefully your luggage will be checked through to Rome, so you don't have to lug it all around the airport...
