You are very lucky to have family in Italy, where abouts do they live? It will be a great experience for you to vist them.
I have alot of friends who are teachers, so I know how crazy it can get! What grade are you teaching? No doubt Italy will be a well deserved break for you!
I am spending about 2 weeks in the Greek Islands before heading to Rome. I'm in the process of finalising everything now. Am yet to book accom in Rome, where are you staying before the trip starts? Be in touch

Hi Emma

I am really excited to go spend time with my family after the tour. Some of them have not been to Canada to visit in many years so they haven't seen me since I was very young. They live in a small village close to Pompeii. It will be nice to relax with them after our trip.

Greece sounds amazing! I would love to see the Greek Islands some day. You will have to let me know  what you thought. I will be arriving early and staying at the same hotel that we depart on our tour from. I looked it up on the internet and it is really close to alot of places I would like to see (the spanish steps, trevi fountain etc). 

So what part of Australia are you from? I have 2 really good friends who have moved to Australia permanently. One spent a summer there doing mission work and loved the country so much that he moved there. He lives in Perth now. The other got offerred a great job in Sydney and was going to go for a year. But he loves it so much that he has moved there for good. Another friend is getting his teaching degree and then looking for a job there. All 3 of them are apart of a really close group of friends I have from highschool and we joke that there must be something in the water over there in Australia that Canadians like,,,once they go they never want to come back. I think that Australians and Canadians have a bit of the same easygoing mentality. Anyways, hope to talk to you soon!

Hi again Sabrina, in answer to your question- I live in a city called Gosford which is about an hours drive north of Sydney, it's great here. I think that Candians and Australians do seem to have alot in common.

Its only 3 weeks til I fly out to Athens, I really can't wait. I had trouble getting the extra time off work, but going to Italy is far more important!! Thankfully its all worked out and I will have a job to come back to, because I will need the money to pay off all that I will spend on the trip shopping!! My family has all put in their lists of what they want me to buy- can you believe it?! I just hope I will have enough room in my suitcase!
