Hi Jen & Dianne,
Nice to meet you both. I can't wait for the trip too. Especially since i'll be celebrating my birthday during the trip (May 19th).
Where are each of you from & will this be your first Contiki trip?
Brian

Hey All,

I just booked this tour! (May 15th departure) and I will be coming a day early (May 15th) and staying an extra 4 nights in Rome after the tour is over. I am also doing the May 31st Golden Fleece Contiki tour after the Simply Italy tour. I am really excited to see Italy!
Also wondering if there are going to be any TECHNO/HOUSE fans on this tour? If one of you guys are let me know and hopefully we can check out some sweet DJs spin @ some discos in Italy! Maybe Tiesto or Benni Benassi if we are lucky!
Looking forward to meeting you all!

Caroline Smiler

P.S. you can contact me @ supervixen101@hotmail.com

Hey guys, I'm thinking about booking this trip. Do we know that this will be a go for sure and if so, what's the crowd looking like? I'm 30, M from FL.

I am 26 from California, my sister is 27 from here too of course (except she moved to Washington state for work). This tour is supposed to be guaranteed, so since I have the time off and have started paying I hope that's true.

what part of CA are you from Heidi? I lived in San Diego for 18 years, and probably will be back before the end of the year. Are most people booking their own airfare or booking it through Contiki?

Hey All,

Yes, this tour is departing for sure since it is a guaranteed departure date. Is anyone staying in Rome pre or post tour? I am staying 1 night prior to the tour in Rome and 4 nights in Rome after the tour. I am excited to meet you all. I am on msn messenger if any of you would like to chat before the trip: supervixen101@hotmail.com

Ciao!

I booked over the weekend, so I am in! I just need to finalize my flights. But most likely I will be getting in around 8am on the 16th, so guess will have most of the day to explore. Looks like from reading other threads our hotel in Rome is very close to the Vatican, so maybe that would be something good to do that day before the tour group meets if anyone wants to do that?

I've just booked. Very excited. Arrive in Rome on the 15th at 10.30. Can't wait. Heading to London on the final day of tour. Anyone know how far away the hotel is from the city/cool stuff?
My email address is: rebeccagracecampbell@yahoo.com.au

I saw in a thread for the same trip, different date, that the hotel we are staying at in Rome is prime hotel roma cassia. I looked it up online and it looks like it is a little ways away from most things. The hotel website says it is a 20 min ride to the city center and a 20 min train ride to the Vatican via the station they have a bus shuttle service to. So I guess it's not so close to the Vatican as I thought.

Hi, this is my first trip with Contiki. If there are any experienced Contikiers (is that even a word) can you please contact me. Because I've been reading things online and I'm getting a 50/50 general concenus on the trip- ppl are either saying it's great or horrible. You can email me at erogolino@hotmaill.com. Someone asked about booking flights- I booked ours (there are 3 off us) through Contiki. I have done a previous tour, with another company and it made life much easier than booking the flight seperately-- just my opinion

Hi Everyone,

Very excited about this tour. Have always wanted to go to Italy and I am in love with Italian food ...
I am travelling with my friend Lucy who I believe is just as excited as me. I am not too sure what to expect from the tour because this is my first time but I am looking forward to meeting you all. Heading off to London and then Tokyo after the tour... Only 8 weeks to go...yay!

Does anyone know what the weather will be like at that time of year? Also any advice from the veteran Contiki tourers?

Jo
