Can anyone who has done the Imperial tour that is provided as an optional extra by Contiki let me know what it involves and if it is worth it? Just wondering if I should do this tour or book my own for the free time you get in Rome towards the end. Any advice appreciated

The imperial tour is amazing if you're interested at all in Roman history. It's very in depth and gives a lot of insight. I didn't get a chance to do my own tour of the Colosseum, but I will this time around! Some say it's not worth it going inside, but I think that depends on interests.

thanks. So hard to know what to do. Oh well if there are some things I miss out on this time I'll just have to go right on back and do them another trip. What a pity.... not
