I'm planning on doing the Simply Italy tour in May of 07 as well. I can't wait until Nov. when the dates and prices come out.

My friend and i plan on going in May.

I've never been on a Contiki Tour before, but I've always wanted to see Italy and this seemed like the perfect way to do it. I would like to go in May 2007 with my best friend and had a couple of questions thta I thought someone might be able to answer. First of all, are the prices in May, higher than in March? Also, are the hotels like 3 or 4 star? Or are they more like hostels? Just curious. K, well, I thought I had more questions, but I guess not. I can't wait! And you all seem really nice so it will be fun to meet you.

melly782 the prices are the same if you go on the first trip in May, otherwise they increase a little.

I have No idea about the hotels, from what i've read they aren't the standard that we would be used to if we walked into a 3 or 4 star hotel in Aust, USA, Canada or NZ, but hey you only have to sleep and shower there, and it seems that sleep it at a minimum anyway!!

Talk about dramas - my friend doesnt know if she is still coming or not, she changes her mind all the time!! But come November 18th i will be booking my tour for May 7th, wether she is or not!

Hi K'teish, if its not too much to ask, does your booklet contain departure dates & $$$ for Italian Expresso?? I've tried booking for the last one on 25th Mar 2007, but too late it was fully booked.

At this stage I will be going on the simply italy tour in May 7 - 18. Just waiting to hear back from my travel agent. It should be a fun trip and it would be good to chat to everyone going on the tour before we go. I have been to Venice and Verona before and they were both magnificent. I will be heading off to Athens after this tour for the Aegean Classic tour on May 20 - 25, hopefully this will be a fun trip.

My friend and I are going to book the May 6th trip tomorrow. I can't wait!
