This is my first time travelling on my own and outside the country. I'm excited. I plan to book this guaranteed trip for May 7 to May 18, 2008. It says the total for flight and trip is $2,589. Anyone knows how much more money I should bring with me?

I would say as far as money I would plan for about 100euros per day for daily things however depending on how much you shop plan accordingly. Contiki makes it pretty easy for you to shop and spend extra on excursions. I just booked my Simply Italy trip for Mar 14, 2008. I've done 2 other contikis in the past. Have a great time!

I'm going on this trip too! I'm taking my brother with me, and it's his first time in Europe, but not mine. I'm going to stay in Sorrento a few nights after the tour. Any good hostel/hotel suggestions that are cheap??

Not long to go now. We have just under 2 months. Does anyone know if this tour usually fills up? I've never done contiki before but have heard there is generally about 50-ish on each tour?? Ciao for now.... Diana
