Hey Nicci.

I'm going on that tour. I was originally going from April 5th - 17th, but it got canceled. I'm really looking forward to the trip.

I'm April, btw. I'm from Canada and traveling "alone" (it's pretty impossible to be considered alone on these tours though!)

Glad to hear from some others who are on the tour.

Hey Explorer!

You never know, they might make you and I roommates! My last contiki tour the company put me and the only other single Canadian together. Of course, it depends on your gender, lol.

I found it incredibly easy to meet people, at least after a day or so. Unfortunately I'm not going early. Maybe next time.

Ya it will be interesting to see who they room people with. This is my first tour so I am excited. I decided to head early to Rome to get to see it a little more in depth as we only get a day or so in Rome.

Hi guys and girls,

I'm also from Canada and it's going to be my first time going on a Contiki tour. I'll be traveling alone too but I heard we can make friends easily on the tour. It'll be great to meet you during the tour.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Janine from Canada and I will be on the trip with all of you. I'm going with my husband, Tom, it's our first time travelling with Contiki. Any other couples going? I'm having the same problem trying to figure out what to pack. Should we be packing for mostly warm weather or cool weather, I can't decide what to take, I always pack too much. It will be great to meet all of you. See you soon

Hi Janine Smiler

I think the weather is going to be in between...around 20 degrees celsius. i'm hoping that 3/4 or long sleeve t-shirty tops and a jacket should be okay most of the time, but i'll take something a bit warmer as well just in case. I'm going to need warmer stuff anyway for london and paris as i think it'll be pretty cold there!

Everyone is telling me to pack all the stuff i think i'll need, then take half or 2 thirds of it out!!! The idea of that makes me feel veeeeerrrry nervous!! Good luck with your packing! sal Smiler

Hey Janine:

I've found it helps to keep a general eye on the weather in Italy. For the past week in Rome it's been between 15-18 degrees every day, so that should give you a bit of an idea. I'm with Sal and say go for the middle ground type of clothes. And speaking from experience, after a while spent on the bus and with everyone no one is expecting a fashion show. Everyone on my last tour was very casual -- T-shirts, jeans, etc.

Hey, just found out our home hotel is Giglio dell'Opera. My question is that I arrive in Rome by 10 am. Is it ok to check in that early, or do we have to wait till the meetup time of 6 pm before checking in?
