Hi....

Is anyone going on the Simply Italy tour starting 23rd July 2007? This is my second Contiki trip....I did a complete tour of Europe 7 years ago which was great...This time I am travelling with my niece...Any useful tips i.e what to see etc would be appreciated.

I've also booked for that date. It's my first contiki tour and I'm travelling alone. So excited to be finally seeing Italy!! I'm starting Italian lessons soon as well!!

I'm still contemplating taking a single room - not sure about sharing - anyone got any comments???

i am yet to go on a tour myself, but from everything that i have heard about contiki tours is that its great to meet new people and make lifelong friends... i suggest sharing a room, you'll meet another solo traveller straight up.. Have an awesome time.. me and my friend just might be doing this date also. at the moment its depending on flights as we also want to go to france and greece!

Hi everyone - I just signed up for the July 23rd trip to Italy!!! I am very excited! I am coming from Chicago and traveling alone. Is anyone else traveling alone? If so, are you doing a single room or sharing? This is my first contiki tour - and I can't wait to meet everyone and see Italy! I would love to hear from anyone going on this trip.

Hi Robyn, Thanks for writing back. I can't believe how soon it is! I just signed up 2 days ago! Does anyone know anything about the quality of hotels were staying at?

Hi again Katie,

We got a list of the Hotels with the travel docs (sorry I don't have it with me today. I did Google some of the names last week - the hotels look OK....but sometimes the pictures can be a little deceiving. Hotel Giosue a Mare (I think it's in Sorrento), Hotel Ghironi in La Spezia, Holiday Inn Venice East, Holiday Inn Express in Milan, and Hotel President in Florence (I think there are 2 hotels called President in Florence). Hope this helps.

Other than just being in Italy the thing I am most excited about is going to the Blue Grotto (Optional).

It's a pity that I dont have the docs with me, I live in Sydney Aust and my niece lives in Bris Aust and we booked everything up there, so she has all the info...so that's about all I can tell you.
