Hi, anyone going on this tour? Anyone going by themselves?

Hi Ansu! my name is Ella, i'm going on may 27, 2007 simply italy tour by myself. i'm ariving one day before the trip, and staying 3 days after in Rome. are you planing on staying after the trip? do you know anyone who is staying. can't wait to go!!!

I'm Rachel. I'll be on the tour by myself as well. I arrive in Rome in the morning on the 28th.

Hi Ella. I'm getting in the afternoon of the 28th. But I think I'm staying an extra day - I am doing the Greece Tour right after. Any plans on what you're going to do on your extra days?

I get in early on the 28th and plan on heading over to Vatican City during the day. I figure that should be a great way to start the trip. As of now I plan on leaving the 8th but depending how things go i might be able to stay an extra day or two.

I was just looking over the itinerary - it sounds like we leave Rome the next day, but at the end of the tour have 1-2 days before the end? Definitely want to Vatican City, but I'm going to have to wait until the end cause I get in only 3-4 hrs before we're supposed to meet up.

Hey guys! I'm Laura and I also booked this trip. I will be in Rome one day before and leaving one day after the tour. I am travelling by myself and can't wait.
Where are you guys from? I'm from Toronto.

Is anyone booking tickets to any of the museums beforehand or are they being booked by contiki? I booked the trip recently and I didn't receive the itinerary yet so I don't know how each day is broken down. Does anyone have more info?

I'm very happy to see that i'm not the only one going on this trip alone. I was a little nervous about it but am feeling a lot better knowing that there are others just like me. I'm from New York.

Just out of curiosity, how old is everyone? Doesn't really make a difference, but i'm curious nonetheless.

I am not booking any of the museum tours ahead of time because i figured i'd wait till we get to each city to find out what everyone wants to do. I don't think it will be a problem to buy the tickets for the tours when we get there.

If you're interested in going to Vatican City with me on the 28th, let me know. I get into Italy at 8:00am on Monday and after checking into the hotel i was planning on spending the day in Vatican City before meeting up with the group at 6:00pm.

Hey Rachel,

The reason why I mentioned the tickets was that I was reading some of the forums online and I saw that ppl were complaining about not having enough time in each city because the tickets weren't pre booked by Contiki and they had to wait in line for 2 hours to see the Vatican and the Uffizi in Florence.
I also heard that for the Uffizi you would have to book well ahead of time.

I would love to go explore the day before the tour starts.
I do not have my booking sheet with me right now so I'm not sure the exact time I will be arriving. I know it's sometime in the morning, the day before the tour starts. I would love to go with you. I'm excited.
