My name is Elise and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I'll be on the 12th Sept tour with you all - my friend just told me about this forum and it's cool to see that there's quite a few people coming on this trip. I've spent the past 2 1/2 months backpacking through Southern and Western Europe with my mates and Italy is pretty much my last stop - I'm really looking forward to not being the one organising train tickets and accom every day!

Nice to see the forum's been so active. Are people still planning on going to the Accademia Gallery on the 16th? I'd like to get in on that if we're going to be free that day.

probably will see when i get over there as janelle said we can pre book up to the day before, so i will probably wait.
Would really like to do it though.

Im getting a bit scared now caus its less than two weeks away. Am trying not to think about it too much so I think i will just leave all my pre booking until i get to Italy. hopefully that will be alright.

Hi Guys...yes time flies and is now just 11 days to go!!!!

I think I will be arriving to the hotel in Rome around 1 or 2 in the 12th, (for those who will be there already or be arriving at same time) have you planned what to do in the mean time we met our TM at 6??? I want to aproach any minute in Rome so would like to know if can join somebody or make a plan in the afternoon before 6....

Janelle you will be there already do you have any plan for that time???

Other question have anybody tried to book The Last Supper in Milan??? I tried but it seems that is full, but I'm not sure if somebody had luck....

it looks like were all a little excited! its sooo close! 7 days today until i start my travels!

Marisol, yes i will be in Rome from the 11th, i havent made any plans yet, was just going to wonder the streets, have some lunch somewhere and have a look around the shops. Your more than welcome to join me?

I had a look at the last supper in Milan, i was interested to take part... i cant remember is it on the 23rd? Cause thats our last day on the tour... i have to be in Paris sometime that night.... Im sure we could book it with our tour guide once in Rome....

my plane arrives in rome at 7:45am the morning of the 12th so depending on when the contiki transfer leaves the airport i should have some free time in the afternoon before 6.

Hey.. my plane gets in at 2pm on the 12th and i'm taking the contiki transfer to the hotel so maybe i'll be able to catch up with someone there. If not.. I'll see you all at 6pm on the 12th!

seems like you and i are the only ones really excited.

i cant believe i am actually getting on a plane by myself and flying to the other side of the world. i started stressing the other day and had to tell myself i wasnt going just to stop the stress.

havent packed yet. Probably will leave that till the day before.

I am going to wait until i get to the hotel in rome to sort out what additional activities i am going to do.

i know all my free time in Milan will be taken up by shopping for an outfit for a wedding i have to go to in october. and other stuff. but i have to make sure i dont spend too much!

I'm Eddy, 26, from Belgium and I'll also be joining the tour. It will be my second Contiki after the Spanish Spree last year. My flight lands at Rome Fiumicino airport around 2 pm. I didn't arrange any transfers so I'm gonna discover Rome's public transport.
