We should check each other our travel itineraries getting in Rome on the 12th...I checked the taxi rates and are quite expensive so we should met together at the airport and share the taxi...don't you think????

i arrive in Rome early on the 11th and am staying at the accommodation that we will all be staying in on the 12th. So id love to share the price of a cab with you but i will already be there

Contiki offers transfers from the airport to the accommodation that are fairly cheap, it might be worth while calling Contiki....?

Just to let you know that I am also joining the tour. I booked it in November of last year with my travel agent and paid it all off in February. I am so excited, only about 6 weeks to go. I have been counting down for ages!

By the way I am Megan, 19, from Brisbane Australia. I turn 20 the day before my plane leaves from Brisbane to head off to Rome. I am flying Singapore Airlines out of Brisbane on the 11th, stopping in Singapore for 3hrs or so and then arrive in Rome at 7:45am on the morning of the 12th.

Hi Megan! and welcome! Looks like were going to have to have a B'Day celebration for you in Rome! Could you think of a better way to celebrate your 20th? i turn 24 on the day that i get home... not sure if im going to want to be celebrating then...

yeah im pretty excited. my last few birthdays have been very quiet. just my parents and brother at home. so celebrating this one in rome 2 days after is going to be awesome. one bday i will never forget!

yeah im excited. i have started to plan my packing so i dont take too much and can actually celebrate my birthday with my family (the day before i leave!!) without having to worry about packing the night before my flight.

I havent received my contiki package yet but i hope my travel agent tells me when it comes in!

Planning on only packing half my suitcase so i can buy heaps of stuff!

Only a few weeks to go! Cant wait!

i am interested in doing this with you. i am at work and dont have my itinery with me, but im guessing that on 16th we are in florence and at 1600 we dont have anyother tour things happening...? If thats the case then i would be more than happy to accompany you.

I can book as late as the day before, so no hurry..

yes, according with the intinerary it is supposed that we will be there on the 16th and it is mentioning that will have some free time (suppose in the afternoon)so I'm guessing that 4pm can be a good time....but yes you can book a day before....

I found other thing than would be great to do if have more time (which I dont think can be possible jeje )....biking around Tuscany, sounds cool!!!!, don't you think? but I'm afraid we won't have enough time to do it.... so I'd better think to plan something else.......

yeah i was thinking about pre booking this one but i was a bit put off when the info i got in my pack said something about the possibilty of the tour bus running late and how we might miss things we have pre booked ourselves and loose our money.

but hey i should just stop worrying too much. I will sit down next week and go through all the optional things and figure out what i am going to do.
