I just booked my tour today for Simply Italy.. so excited!!! mmmm Gelato. Is anyone else going on the tour for July 10-22nd. I will be traveling out of Toronto.

Hi Everyone, well its less than 12 weeks until our tour, yes I have started the countdown.. haha. Nice to "meet" my fellow travelers and can't wait to meet everyone in person.. we will have a fantasic time.

Joey - I didn't get a direct flight out of Toronto to Rome. I am flying to Rome with a 3 hour stop over in Amsterdam via KLM on the 10th around 5:55 p.m. I don't know the flight number yet. I think I get into Rome around 1:30 p.m (Rome time) on the 11th. The same for my return flight home Rome-Amsterdam-Toronto.

My cousin did a Contiki trip last year that took him through parts of italy (Venice, Rome and Florence) and he loved it!!! He told me that the best Gelato is in Florence and to watch out for pick pockets.

I do have a question that I can not seem to find a definate answere for on the Contiki site. Does any one know if we can pay for the optionals with travelors cheques in euros or do we have to pay cash?

Hi Carrie. As far as I know and from what I have read and been told, it's really up to what your TM prefers. It seems that for US and Egypt tours people were given the option of cash, credit card, travellers cheques... If that's the case for our tour it would make it a little easier I know. But as I said, it seems it's at the discretion of the TM.

Hey guys! I received our package in the mail. Did anybody book yet to go see the David? It says to book the trip to the museum during your full day in Florence between 12 and 3:30...which for us would be Monday the 14th I think. Should we book it????
