our tour is sold out?! thats awesome Big Grin so we got a whole bus load of 50 of us... sweet! the travel documents dont say where we're staying the last few nights in rome which sucks.. just says its some place that im guessing is not an ordinary hotel. would be good if they could tell us the suburb or something at least, but nope.. we got no idea!

so with the day trip to pompeii.. i havent looked into how to get back there or whatever (we can probably figure this out during the tour and im probably getting ahead of myself here..) but im thinking the day our tour ends is probably the best to go considering most could join us then if they wanna go.

ive found a few possibilities with the hotels. i searched 4/5 star in the hope of finding something good but cheap so heres what ive found so far on easyhotel.com in rome city.. from my selection you guys should choose cause i dont wanna be solely responsible if the place turns out to be crap :P

* petra - via sante vandi 124 00173 4 star - up to quad rooms £52/night for a twin share room

* eur suite - via prezzolini 5 00144 4star - £60/night for twin share

* anagnina - via torre di mezzavia 25 00173 4star - up to triple rooms £60/night for twin share

* degli imperatori - via guido gonella no.15 00100 4star - up to quad share £60/night for twin share

* ars - via monte altissimo 20/24 4 star - up to triple rooms £65/night for twin share

*grand hermitage - via vajna 12-18 00197 4star - up to quad share £197/night single share

* appia park - via appia nuova 934 00178 4star - up to triple share £130/night single share

so let me know what you think from that list.. if theres something good thats awesome cause im had with searching.. lol. or if anyone else has suggestions....?

The hotel I'm staying at in Rome is called Versailles. It's around the Via Veneto area and close to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. I'm paying 78 Eur for 2 nights. I believe there is still rooms available. http://www.versailles.roma.eureka-reservation.com/

I know what you mean by searching. I don't wanna do anymore! My eyes are going crossed and I am getting myself more and more confused lmao...

Hey Ladies...
I can't believe our tour is sold out... that is awesome though! So many others to meet and have fun with!
Shez- Any of those hotels/hostels sound amazing to me. I really don't care where we stay, what is more important is that I'm not doing it alone. I understand why you don't want to have the sole responsibility so I would say maybe we could go for any of the following two;
* degli imperatori - via guido gonella no.15 00100 4star - up to quad share £60/night for twin share
* ars - via monte altissimo 20/24 4 star - up to triple rooms £65/night for twin share
They both are great!!!
Let me know what you decide... as long as you share a bed for me Smiler

Sold Out! No way ... that is awesome. A very full bus but awesomeSmiler

Shez you really have been doing a lot of work ...thank you. I completely understand why you don't want the whole responsibility of choosing and the vote is the best way to go. So, on that note ... my vote would be for either one that Bre has listed. I think the only consideration we would need to make was how mnany of were needing a room and so do we go with the quad room or the triple room. And I think there is 4 of us (Bree and Shez staying 2 extra nights, and Amy and myself staying just the 1 extra night - though I don't know if Amy has a place to stay that night, as both Anne and Tracey do). But I am in for either Cool

I can't wait. Shez you must be getting excited to be leaving soon ... its not long now is it?

Hi girls, this is so exciting that its booked out! I really didn't know if it would but that's great news! 49 new people to meet, woo hoo! Trying to find internet access is drivin gme crazy so I apologise for not contributing very much! As for accomodation after the tour, I need only one night and Im not fussy where we stay, Ive slept on concrete floor on a ferry to Ios so anything that has a mattress is like heaven for me! So Im happy with either choice of place to stay. Im so excited for Italy, when I was in Venice earlier for 5 days it was just amazing and the food is to die for! Eeeek, Im so excited!

Hello Ladies.

It has been such a long time since I've been on here and so much has been going on. I actually had to write out a list so I could sort of keep track of who was on here. There are 15 ladies mentioned on here and most of you have posted and sound awsome. I have been moving and will move again before I leave for this trip, really crazy summer but I think Italy will top it off.

I think I followed most threads, I just wanted to confirm that I should be booking the David for Sept. 4 at 1:30. Is that right? And which website do I go to for that?

I hope everyone is still pumped.

Talk to you all soon,

Jenny Confused

Hey Jenny,

Sounds like it has been a very busy summer for you. Hopefully you will be able to relax a little before Italy so you can completely enjoy it Smiler

It is the 4th at 1:30 that we are going to see David. You need to go to www.polomuseale.firenze.it and choose the Academia Gallery. Tickets are 10 Euros as there is a special exhibition going on while we are there as well. It would be awesome if you could join us Big Grin

Super Excited!!!!!!!

hard to keep up hey! everything is all happening.. bit daunting.. ive only got 6 days to organize... eek!

as far as where to stay in rome... pufferfish mentions a place that seems fine to me. if we can agree on one place and look into paying seperately then we can get it started. we could always do it when we get there but i think organizing it beforehand would be better.

anne- catching up would be cool.. if we can make it. i arrive that day and i think by the time i check in etc id be able to meet 6.30pm at the earliest. somewhere around picadilly circus/leicester sq would be pretty convenient. cant think of where tho.. you have any ideas? you leave the next day, right?

Hey Guys,

So I just looked into the hotel versaille that Tracey (pufferfish) suggested. There are no rooms available for September 11th. Shez - I couldn't find the rooms you listed at that rate Frowner I dunno if I am looking in the wrong place or because its because its closer to the date. Should we look into hostel?

Shez - did you still want to meet up at the airport?

Does anyone know how roommates are assigned?

Hi Everyone!

I know what you feel like Shez!, I've got 2 more days to go before i leave and there is so much that needs to be done Roll Eyes ...but I'm sure I'll get there! eventually! i would love to meet up, I'm staying in that location too, in Covent gardens.

We can meet anywhere you like, here are a couple of places nearby...
Cheers Bar
The Three Greyhounds
The Salisbury

Or we could meet in front of the swiss building in Leicester square.
