I'm from Philly and I'll be going on the 9th Aug. tour, but I'm arriving 8th Aug and staying 1 day later until 21st Aug.   I'm traveling alone for this trip.  I've backpacked through Europe & went to Spain for 2 weeks on my own. This is my first time with Contiki. I'm looking forward to meeting ya'll.

Hi Jane, sorry with the mix up of the name.  My Name is Parham. Flying out of Los Angeles on the 8th. I arrive at 11:20 a.m. in Rone on the 9th. If you and other group members want to meet before the sceduled time tell me.  I heard you have to buy some things in advance also.  In Florence they dont pay for any of the mueseums so I probablly going to get before I leave.  Tell me what you think.  Have a good one and take care.

Hi Parham,  I don't actually know anything about buying anything in advance what to buy and how to do it etc.  if you can buy in advance and it cuts waiting times i think its a good idea but as i said i don't know much about it all, will let you know about meeting up early when i work out exactly what i'm doing,  by the way do contiki send us anything now that tells us exactly where we are going etc i know the rough outline is on the net just wondering if there is anything more??

I dont know. They said they send the information of trip like two weeks before trip.  Hopefully it has information whats happening on trip.  I would like to know exactly whic places they will take us, so I can buy the tickets in advacne to other places that their not taking us so I dont wait in a 3 hour line when we get there.  Damn disorganized contiki.  I heard it will be so packed in Itay when we are there and really hot damnn.  Tell me what ur going to and if you want to buy tickets in advance.  And maybe we can buy some stuff together and hang out during the trip.  Do you know how the rooms work or not.  Hopefully we dont get any weirdos as our roomates.  Take care and keep this board up.  I will post periodiaclly.

Well hot is a relative term, summer in Sydney is pretty hot anyway, i haven't looked at what i'm going to yet that is still on my to do list and i don't know how the rooms work but i'm sure everyone on the trip will be good fun i think i have to share a room with another girl which is fine

you guys are right it will be really packed & hot & all that stuff that happens when it's tourist season. Europe in general is best in late spring or early sept for better weather & less tourists, but definitely have to go with friends.  But hey ya know what it can be fun too, for doing stuff on the fly ya know?  I'm arriving in Rome on the 9th @ 4PM . So I think if we all who are arriving a day early want to meet up I think that's a good idea.   As far as buying tickets ahead of time I am aware of that & yes it definitely saves time, but unless there's a place you definitely want to see then I'd hold off on buying it.  I'd like to do stuff that's not so touristy kind of go off the beaten path if anyone's interested.  keep the chat going.   ciao!

I just want to talk to people before the trip. So far at least there are two cool girls on the trip you and jane. So I have someone to hang out with.  Because I want to see the statue of Davud and go to the Ufizi in florence so thats why adavcned tickets.  So how old are you guys am I the youngest on this tour. I want to see the statue of david but I also want to see everything off the beaten track as well.  I'm 25 by the way and no matter what the weather is like hot, cold, sunny or raining it will be good fun either way
