I've never travelled with contiki before either, but most of my friends who had been on one before said that it had been fantastic and overall worthwhile! I'm really looking forward to even if I am going by myself. I'm deffs booked in. My travel agent gave me the itenary already and it looks fantastic!

Thus far, I've pre-booked entry into the Uffizi and the Accademia in Florence, as well as the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel in Rome.
I have been unable to book tickets to see the Last Supper in Milan. I can't figure out exactly who to call or what website to visit. One tour company told me they (and I think the box office itself) are sold out of Last Supper tickets through November and that my best bet is to try to go the day of but that cancellations are rare. So, if you plan on seeing the Last Supper while you are there, book super early. The itinerary that Contiki emailed to me said to book Last Supper tickets on the day we go from La Spezia to Milan, after 1:30 but before 4.
