Hello everyone!  I'm Jeff.  I'm 25 and from Toronto, Canada.   I'm planning on going on the Simply Italy tour From July 2-14.  I did the Greek Island Hopping tour last summer and it was incredible.  Hopefully this one can match it.  So if anyone's planning on the same tour date I'd love to hear from you!!  Talk to you soon hopefully!!

Hey Elyssa!  I'm really excited too!  There's so much I want to see over there.  Certain countries I need to spend a lot more time in though cause there's too much to see, like in Italy.  Well if you decide on this date definately let me know!!

I'm still deciding between the Simply Italy tour or the Med Highlights tour - but if I do decide on the Simply Italy tour it would be to go July 2nd to the 14th as well. 

This is my first contiki tour- don't know what to expect.

I'm 26 from Toronto.  I was planning on doing this tour in May (around May 2-4) but with my work schedule isn't going to happen so I started thinking about Italy around Canada Day and this happens to be the tour!

I went on the European Vista in 2004 and had a blast and thought this time around I'd like to see more of Italy. 

I'm glad to see that other people have booked/are looking at booking this tour - it looks like it'll be great!

Holy crap it's a Canadian invasion!

That's what I though when I responded to the postings!  There were only two Canadians on my last tour (both from Calgary) so after that tour I didn't think Canadians toured with Contiki - it's nice to be proven wrong!!!

I forgot to ask - is anyone planning on going a day or two before, or staying a day or two after the tour ends???

Hey Sarah.  Yeah I think I'll be staying a week or two longer, haha.  Not too sure which one, but definately a week atleast.

Hey Jeff,

I'd love to stay a week or two longer - that sounds awesome, but I think I'll be lucky to get the two weeks off!!  I figure since the tour ends on a Friday I might as well stay and fly out on the Sunday and hang out in Rome for a couple extra days.  I also though that I'd maybe depart Canada on the Friday night and spend Saturday and Sunday in Rome too.  I've got some guide books out and there looks like there's so much too do!!

Our tour ends on a Friday and I found a tour that starts every Saturday for Sicily.  They are a week long all over Sicily.  So I'm hoping to do that.  Showing up a couple days early sounds pretty good too.  Hmm...I'll have to think about that one.

Sicily - that sounds wonderful!  I wish I could see a bit more of Southern Italy (although I am very excited that this tour goes to Pompeii!!)

Let me know if you end up in Rome a couple days early - it would be awesome to meet some people from the tour before it starts!

Have you booked the tour yet??  I'm trying to decide what would be the best time to book...

Hey Sarah!  I'll definately let you know if I come early.  No I haven't booked it yet.  I'll probably do it in a month or so.  A friend of mine who I met on my Contiki trip last year from the States is planning on coming too, so I just want to make sure she is 100% for sure going before I book anything.  But this is the date we agreed on.  I'm confident it will work out.  Talk to you later!!

Hey Jeff!  Hopefully your friend will be able to make it - this looks like it'll be a great tour (with so many Canadians, how could it not be?!!!! lol)

I'm hoping to book soon, but I haven't been approved for the time off work yet - I'm really trying to gear my vacation time around long weekends so if I'm not approved this time, I'll have to wait until September...  I don't think it'll be a problem though - the summers usually pretty quiet.  I might try and speak to a travel agent later this week and get her advise on booking.
