Anyone booked in for the tour departing the 31st August?

Im 25 from Brisbane, Australia and will be travelling solo.

I will be in LA (contiki hotel) from the 27th August if anyone would also like to catch up before the tour. Im also booked in the NBNE tour beforehand departing 15th August (get to NY 10th August).

Well im going to be in new york for a week, then getting the Amtrak from there to LA, it takes 3 days but I love trains so it should be cool. Hopefully, if the train gets there in good time, I'll be in LA from the 29th. I'll be staying at the hotel as well. We should meet up and hopefully by that time some of the other people going would want to.

What you planning to do in LA pre trip?

Its a pitty..i booked my flights last friday so i can't chance it anymore. i arrive 30th august at 8 PM in anaheim- hope that somebody of you would like to hang out in LA this evening..the viper room, whiskey a gogo, or something like that...

Hi Steve, i think the sunset strip is a very good location to go out on this evening. the problem is the distance to anaheim. when do you arrive in LA on 30th? I'm arriving at 6pm at LAX.
I'm really looking forward to the trip, especially LA and Vegas (we can't stop here, this is bat country

My flight gets into LAX at 7pm from Heathrow, so not sure what time I'll get to the hotel after going thru immigration at the airport and then travelling out to the hotel. Anyone know how far away the hotel is from LAX?

I'm from a town near Stuttgart in southern germany. The hotel in Anaheim is about 60km away from lax. so i think it's nearly impossible to enjoy the sunset strip on the day before our trip starts, because there are no busses from anaheim to hollywood..

Yeah, Bjoern I think your right about the night before, but no worries, I'm sure there are decent bars close to the hotel.

The others here are arriving earlier so will have a better idea of a good place to go out to.
