My name is Kate I'm going on the Wild Western departing on 22nd July 2007. This will be my 2nd contiki tour (I went to Europe last year).

I'm soooo excited even though it's months away but it gives me something to get up and go to work for

Anyhoo, I'll be travelling on my own (at this stage) so would love to hear from anyone going or thinking of going.

Oh yes I would like to have a travel buddy too. But the thing is that 22th July is one week too early! I can start at the 28th July!

My travels will find me traversing the States alone as well.

Like yourself, I have also had a previous Contiki experience... I did a Europe Contiki in 2005.
Even with the mishaps, it was an absolute ball!

Am looking forward to this ... although I'm not sure that this will be able to compare to the last trip

A friend and I have just made final arrangements and will also we on the Wild Western July 22 - Aug. 3rd. It will be my first Contiki tour and her second, she did a European one last summer.

Looks like a trend is emerging....I am also travelling solo and did Contiki Europe last year. I had such an awesome time, and am hoping this one will be just as good.

Indeed there does appear to be a trend happening with previous contiki travelers travelling again. One hopes that this must be a testament to the contiki experience.

Hopefully it will be as good as or better than my last contiki experience... but it'll be tough to match it.

I can't wait to get there and enjoy it - the starting date creeps ever closer, yet it is still so far away... hehe, can't wait to say good bye to work for a while though

Anwyays, I'll stop rambling - I guess we'll meet soon.
I wonder if any other traveler on this tour will post a message? *shrugs* oh well, we'll get to meet them regardless when the tour starts.

Just a quick question to pose to you all...

Is anyone booked or thinking/planning to book tickets to go on the Alcatraz tour whilst we are in San Francisco?

Am just curious as to what people might be doing. In the paperwork I received, it suggests that I should book ahead of time.

Any thoughts??

I am interested in going to Alcatraz. I had read about making reservations before hand too, but I think I will wait until the trip begins and talk to the Tour manager. I don't think we will be at the point to do that trip until closer to the end of the Wild western (Day 11 I think) so I'm hoping there is still space to go if I maybe book as soon as the tour begins. Does that make sense?
