Hi All,

I am heading off on an OE to the UK/Europe next year and thought I would go via the US. I think that a Contiki would be the way to go. I would like to do the Wild Western but have been reading about tour cancellations etc. Just wondering if others out there were thinking of the above tour or else I might as well head straight for the UK.

I'm actually doing the LA to the Bay one leaving on Jan 24th... I think it's the same tour except I stop in San Francisco! I've already paid for it and everything and cannot wait to go!! I don't think that they'll cancell it. If they do they will have A LOT of angry people I think. I also think that a lot of people will go on this one because it's our Uni holidays over here at that time! So I'm pretty sure that it won't be cancelled! So in answer to you question... yes! I'll be there! Ha and then I'm heading off to the UK as well, but not until April!

I just paid for it this morning - I also got my travel insurance at the same time so at least if they do cancel it and I have to change my flights then I am covered - I am really looking forward to it though so i hope it goes ahead!!

I'm moving back to UK from New Zealand and decided to make the most of a one-way trip by touring the US.

I'm booked to do the Wild Western on 24th Jan next year- Paid a deposit and about to pay in full this weekend. I'm flying out of Auckland on Sunday 21st so that I have time to go and do Disney and Universal Studios on the Monday and Tuesday (we're all big kids at heart!).

If anyone wants to join me in LA it would be kool!

I'm back from a Wild Western Tour (03. Sept. to 15. Sept.: from L.A to L.A.) and the tour was great. We (54 people) had a lot of fun.

Hey has everyone's hotel bookings changed to the Best Western in Anaheim? My travel agent told me that's the new pre-tour accomodation that Contiki are using now.

And what about doing Disney? Wondering if anyone has already booked their tickets on the days I'm thinking of doing it. Don't see many people walking around Disneyland on their own so might be best to plan ahead!!

And who's up for Alcatraz? So many questions!

I'm also going on the Wild Western tour on Jan 24 next year. Can't wait! I will be staying at the Best Western Inn in Anaheim aswell.

my friend Alex and I are booked in for the western highlights leaving 24 Jan - we all travel together right?? no-one from highlights has posted...
anyway, we are doing disney on the 23rd as well, would love to have company as alex doesn't do rides and i am soooo keen to!

Great to hear from you guys- where do you get off on the Western Highlights? Is it Las Vegas? I'm an English guy living in Wellington, New Zealand right now and I arrive in LA on Sunday 21st.

I've got open-end tickets for both Disney California Adventure and Universal Studios. Just gotta decide which way round to do them. If you're a 'coaster freak then California Adventure is better than Disney itself- that's why i chose to do that instead.

So good to msg before we go. Yeah we get off in Vegas, and are flying off to Vancouver from there. Leaving for Hawaii on Boxing Day for a few weeks, then driving down west coast usa. should be crazy.
