I can be ur friend if u want, but my tour leaves on the 4th of June 2008, so i am kinda in the same boat as u.

I juuuust booked the WW tour for the 11th! I am pretty late to book I know, better late than never though right?
I'm a 20 year old uni student from Melbourne (female) and can't wait to start the trip :P. Like Appel I am arriving a little early, just a couple of days, to get over jet lag and maybe explore the city a bit. I will be staying in the same hotel that contiki uses in Anaheim before the tour starts, is anyone else doing the same? Anyway, take it easy guys, hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Teeg! how are you!!! I am doing this tour (man is it close!!) i am 24 F from brissy! doing it alone. I arrive the day before (not going to be fun with jet lag) but am also staying in the hotel that contiki provide! i think i arrive in LA around 12.30 so should be at the hotel around 3??? I can't tell you how excited I am haha.. I've been so rushed in booking everything it hasn't hit me properly and I still can't believe I get to go away. I'm going alone as well, should be really fun regardless.

Wow straight into the tour hey? Ouch I think you will be sleeping a lot on the bus the first day haha! Or you should be right if you get your sleeping pattern the same as americans a few days before you leave

I may be staying in Santa Monica before the tour now, but I'm staying in Anaheim for like 3 days after the tour, hoping I will find some people to do Disneyland and Universal Studios with me. After Anaheim I am flying to Philadelphia to meet a friend and then we are road tripping up to Canada and staying there a week. Then back down to Philly and after a few days onto NYC, then to Washington DC.

If you are doing the eastern discovery I might even be in NYC the same time as you haha. I was originally going to do the eastern discovery but it was all booked out You lucky thing!

About the guaranteed departure, if you go onto the page of your specific tour and then click "see dates of departure" or whatever it is, the list of dates come up and the ones with the ticks next to them are on for sure. They added a tick to our tour a couple of days ago

Oh my god! i am so jealous of you! i would love extra time to go to Canada! i think i am looking forward to meeting new people the most. i am kinda bored with my life! haha most of my friends are all getting married and having kids and have gotten really boring so i am really looking to have an amazing adventure in a wonderful country and meet great people! (hope that doesn't sound lame) Girl you need to get on face book, i am meeting a few people (from the other tour ) and getting to know them better. Sucks you couldn't do the eastern disc. i think its mainly booked out cause its the last half of the grand southern.

That doesn't sound lame :P. I am going for the same reason. Meet some really cool people and hang out in a new country. Studying is hard, I need a break! I'm not staying in Santa Monica anymore, I'll definitely be in the Anaheim hotel the day before the tour starts .

I'll work on getting a facebook haha, none of my friends use it.

No wonder it was booked out, damn! Oh well I am all psyched for this tour now. Are you going to do the hot air ballooning and grand canyon heli ride? I want to do them both for sure. Our trip to Tijuana isn't on anymore Instead we spend the day in San Diego. Oh well doesn't matter, I plan to have a good time no matter where I end up :P
