I'm going on the Wild Western tour in Dec 2008 from 24th Dec to 6th Jan- is anyone else going on this one? Does anyone have any good advice or tips to share?

Unfortunalty I going on the Wild Western Tour in December 17th, Hope you have fun. Whats your main interest on the tour., Mine is Alcatraz, always have wanted to go.

Hi Jason,

Im so excited about all of it - Sea World in San Diego, everything in Vegas, Grand Canyon, Alcatraz in San Fran. I heard that you have to book the tour to Alcatraz yourself though and it's better to get in early. My friend and I are going to lookinto it and hopefully book soon.
Im from Perth, Australia and haven't been anywhere so I am interested in everything. Have you been to that part of the world before? Any recommendations?

Im also excited, the only place i have been is in Austtrali, is queensland, this is my first big getaway... Its going to be soooooo exciting..

I finally paid it off on Thursday, Im actuall going to fly up there 4 days before, stay at Los angeles and the greater western inn, 1 minute from disneyland, its gonna be great... I thouhg 1 day at universal studios and 1 day at disneyland, and 1 day juts roaming the sreets, walk of fame, shoppoing, lol. You know live the high life....

Alcatraz will be great., cant wait to to that when i arrive, its the main attraction for me, been a real big fan of alactraz from the movies, etc..

unfortunatly i dont have any recoomedations, as Ive ver been there, but watching a ot of movies, and being inspired from movies, being in America for 3 weeks will be heavan for me, Im stoppoing off in Hawaii for a day also, just relax on the beach and eat by the beach at night,,,,really excited. Im going alone, in only 23 and i hvae my whole life ahead of me...Talk soon

Hey Jason,

This is my first big trip too. And I can't wait!! Im going with a friend and we are going to a few places.

We are starting in Hawaii for 2 days, then to LA for 4 days before we go on the contiki(just like you). After that we are going to New York and then London, Paris and Rome.

We are going to do the disneyland, universal studios, hollywood, shopping thing too while we are in LA, I want to do the "touristy" thing. I can't wait to go to Universal studios, Id love to see some film sets etc.

We are in America for 3 weeks and I am just going to love it! I have always wanted to go there (more than Europe).

It's funny that we are pretty much doing the same things except you are a week ahead me. Lol.

I really hope you enjoy your time, in all those places, hope its worth it, and hope you and your friend get a great expierence out of the whole touristy thing. Very happy for you. I would also love to saty in USA for much much longer, althouhg you know how work can get with annual leave etc.....Very tight when it comes to gettting time off. hey krystal i am looking at doing the wild western departing on the 24th December. im from western australia and doing it alone. i will be in la from the 21st december when my grand southern tour finishes. it would be great to catch up before the tour starts.

My friend and I will be in LA on the 21st too. We are staying at the Contiki hotel. When are you starting your travels - since we live in the same state it would be easy to catch up here and then over there as well.

I'm about to book on the 24th Dec - 6 JAN WW tour. Can't wait. Wanted to do the Southern Adventure but not available for these dates. Will spend 2 weeks in Canada first & then fly to LA on 21st Dec & stay at the Conitki preferred hotel - Best Western Stovall's Inn. Travelling alone, but opting for twin share..!!
