I am going on the Wild Western tour which starts on the 20th February 2008. I am really looking forward to this trip so much - only 4 months to wait!! Would be nice to hear from anyone else that is going on this tour 

Hi alli84,

Im going on the LA to the Bay starting 20th Feb 2008. From reading posts on these message boards, what I think happens is there are a few tours which are on the same bus. LA to the Bay, Wild Western, and Western Highlights. All 3 look pretty much the same, except where and when the different tours end. Mine ends in San Francisco while yours goes through to LA. If anyone can confirm this that would be great.

So where are you from? Are you travelling alone? Are you doing any other tours or extending your stay in the States? Im from Adelaide, Australia and travelling alone. Im doing the LA Scene tour before this one and prior to that spending a week in New York, though not on a contiki tour. It'll be heaps of fun.

It'll be great to hear back from yourself and anyone else on these tours.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with what you are saying as the two tours run side by side by stop at different locations. I was originally going to do the LA to the Bay tour but then decided to do the Wild Western. I am really looking forward to it as there is so much to see and do!

I am from a place called Darwen in the United Kingdom which is near the city of Manchester. Sound like you will be having lots of fun. I am only over in the USA for the one tour and I will be travelling on my own. I have been to NY before you will love it and it is really easy to travel around, especially if you are travelling alone.

Only 3 months to go now. So far yet so close! Theres so much to see and do I dont know what Im looking forward to the most.

Is there anything you recommend I see and do in New York other than the obvious touristy things? Im glad you said its easy to travel around, because I was wondering what its like.

I am really looking forward to this. It will be my first Coniki tour and prob my last I think I am getting too old, I will be 29 in Vegas on the 25th...
