Hi, anyone doing the wild western tour from 7 June to 19 June? I haven't booked anything yet, but probably will by end of the week. I'm also doing the big apple explorer on 30th May.

Hello! Yes I'm still going on this tour, I'm checking into the hotel the night before the tour, what about you? I'm sure I'll see you at the meeting the night before the tour. Have you guys got your info and travel pocket thingy yet? I booked and paid a month ago, and I still haven't got it?!?!

Hi again. We haven't got our paperwork yet either but the travel agent said it would be available 7-10 days before departure so I'm not too worried!
Got exams next week so just trying to concentrate on those but I'm so excited to be doing this trip!

I'm getting so excited about going on this trip! My friend Em and I will be staying in Anaheim a few nights before departure and going to Disneyland etc. Am I right that the tour departs from Anaheim and that there's some sort of meet and greet beforehand?

Yeah our travel agent also said that we wouldn't get our paper work until a few weeks before the trip so there's nothing to worry about yet!

a day after posting that message I got my paperwork woohooo! So I was thinking of going to the glass skywalk in grand canyon, looks so awesome! and also planning on doing the alcatraz tour, apparently it's really good, you guys planning on doing any of those? Yeh the tour departs from anaheim, and we have a meeting the night before, to get to know everyone etc. I will be checking in the day before our tour departs, probably late arvo so if anyone wants to hang out let me know.

Well it looks like the glass skywalk in grand canyon won't be open to the public 'til end of this year, bummer! So I was thinking of doing the mule ride, a little bit pricey but I thought it's good experience. You can check it out on this website: www.grandcanyonlodges.com 

I'm assuming this is the place we're going (that's what it says on our itinerary).

Anyone want to do the mule trip in grand canyon and also the alcatraz tour in san fransisco? I'm going to be booking it soon so let me know so we can book it for the same time.

Oh and is anyone planning on going to any of the theme parks besides disneyland? Anyone going to seaworld in san diego? I've been to it but I thought I might as well go again if there is nothing else to do in san diego. I was also thinking about going to universal studios, I've been to this place before as well but it's so great that I want to go again.

Girls are you planning on staying at the hotel in las vegas or getting another one, 'cause some reviews say the hotel isn't that great. I was thinking of maybe spending one night in a better hotel.

Oh and apparently the bellagio has a really good buffet, so we can have dinner there one night.

Also are you guys going to see any shows while you're there? I was thinking maybe cirque de soleil or something. Celine Dion is also performing hehe. And unfortunately we miss out on jerry seinfeld That would've been so fantastic if I got to see him, he is hilarious!

Hey again. We still havent gotten our paperwork yet so cant comment on the optional excursions etc until we get that. Going to travel agents this afternoon to kick some ass!
I don't think we will be booking another hotel, I'm sure the one Contiki has for us is perfectly fine, and after all, its only a place to rest our heads right? If, however, there is the slightest hint of ****roach, I'm sure we'll be the first ones out of there!!
Just finished my finals, SO glad that they're over, and now we can properly plan all the clothes to take on the trip!!
Moones, are u male or female? Not that it matters, just wondering.

hey all,

just thought that i would give you guys abit of help with this tour. I did it in july last year and you will have such a ball!!! Apparently the mule rides are booked solid a year or two in advance and we werent given any further info about going on when when we were there. The helicopter ride optional extra is a MUST!!!! it is worth every single penny!!!! Also the alcatraz tour is really good too....make sure u get the audio tour, its only $16 or sumthing and yeh book soon cos they'lll only get you to book urself the frist couple of days. IN regards to vegas, yes the hotel isnt the best but we didnt have any issues with security at all. My advice is to do all the optional extras and buy a bottle of spirits each in tijuana to have for teh room parties before you go out. Thanks everyone for all the great ideas, links and advice. It's been most appreciated! I finally received my Contiki pack yesterday which makes it seem all the more real! I'm thinking at this stage that I will go to the 9:30am tour of Alcatraz on the second day in San Fran and will book early next week. Just thought I'd mention in case a few of us want to go on the same tour. Anyway looking forward to meeting you all. Bye for now! 

I booked my tour through www.blueandgoldfleet.com as suggested by contiki, and I booked it for saturday 17th June (we have the whole day free) at 10:45am because we need to be there an hr before to collect our tickets, and I thought if we have a late night the night before and by time we get there it might be hard booking for 9:30am.
