Ive been checking these forums every so often to see if anyone had started a topic for our tour. Im going on the tour with u... I replied to u in other forums so maybe you know that by now!!!

Im just travelling with a mate of mine from skool. Never see him anymore now hes working so we both decided to do New York for New Years then tour the west coast - cant wait!! im going for a month... what are ur plans???

I love acting so I think im going to do every film/studio tour in LA that i can do hahaha

Great to know you and your mate will be on our tour. I'm sooo excited haha!!!!

WOW I can imagine NY will be awesome for NYE.
We only arrive in the US on the 9th. So its straight down to anahiem where we hope to fit in Knotts Berry Farm before they close for the day haha. Then the tour starts on the 10th. After our plan is to see more of america, canada and peru.

Last time i was in LA i got to experience Tim Allen getting his star on the hollywood walk of fame...so if your into acting, you never know who you may meet or even contacts you may make!!!

Hey quick question...do you know the name of the hotel we are meant to stay in before the tour?? I heard it was a best western.

Hey I'm Kim and I'll be travelling alone to the US. I'm also doing the New York New Year tour and the heading to LA to do the Wild Western on the 10th. Can't wait to go.

hey, sorry its taken me ages to sign in again - ive had a few problems with the password but its all sorted now.

I didnt know we had to stay at a particular hotel before - my itinery was all thru my travel agent so I hope he knows that hahaha

Its awesome to know some aussies are going on the tour! Hopefully we can all party the nites away... not being 21 hahaha.

Im going to go star looking in LA... I better see at least one of: Paris, Lindsay, Jessica, Mischa, or Mary Kate/ Ashley before the trip is out!!!

It's not long now until the hoilday. I can't wait. I fly into LA 5 nights before the trip from New York. I hope to do some sightseeing and the theme parks etc... Hey even though you won't be 21 I'm sure you'll have a blast. About the hotel, I don't think you have to stay in a certain hotel the night before it's only if you want to, but you might want to check, I certainly wouldn't trust myself with the right details. Keep in touch.

hey kim - im doing the exact same thing. Im flying from New york 5 days before as well to la then staying in anaheim so i can do the disney land thing for a few days and then go on the tour... when i come back im staying in hollywood and doing everything else like universal studios and stuff then.

Im really looking forward to it!!!!! Its almost november which means starting to say 'america next month'

Well you are right, not long until we can say next month. I will be trying to do the theme parks within the 5 days as I have to come home straight after this tour ends. Can't wait to spend New Years Eve in New York though, should be a blast as well as freezing.

Yeah I'm definately lookin forward to being a kid again at disneyland hahaha. New york is going to be freezing - i hope it snows!!! Whenever i have a northern hemisphere winter it never snows!!

Wow! This post is going wild! Hmmm... better not scare you guys off before I even meet you guys! I'm soooo excited about going to Disneyland! last time I went was... hmmm... 12 years ago... I feel old... I'm going to the Hong Kong Disneyland too. Don't think it'll compare to the American one though.

Anyways, I'm sure you'll find a star somewhere. I think there are actually special tours where there's this guy who'll help you spot famous ppl. Saw it on the great outdoors. Lol!

And of course we'll party all night anyway! You don't need alcohol to party! Just lots of red cordial and some music. A friend suggested for me to get a fake ID so I could get in... But most of my friends aren't 21 Oh well. Okies. I should so stop blabbering on now...

I was really thinking about it BUT i dont wanna get busted in america having one coz i dunno what they do 2 u: re deport u lol... or put something down on ur record so when u go back and wanna get a work visa so u can star in a movie opposite lindsay lohan, u cant. hahahahahahaha - maybe not to that extent but hey!!

I haven't been on here in ages...and wow you guys have added a few posts...nice to see!!


Ummm fake id i think is definately a bad idea. When i was last over there, i went to cross the border between canada and america. because i didnt have my passport with me, I couldn't cross the border and had to sit with the special police for a few hrs while they took all my details, my finger prints, eye scans, etc...and i was meant to pay a massive fine, but they let me off..it was really quite scary. I don't think I have anything bad on my record..I mean i didn't do anything, but you can see how strict they are with even the smallest things.

I'm sure you will be able to get into a few places, the only thing you may be limited in is alcohol consumption...maybe just drink prior to going out.

Either way we will all have an awesome time!

Hey guys, I did WW in Sept/Oct 06. I don't think you'd have much luck with a fake ID. Everywhere we went only looked at our passports, whoever forgot theirs didn't get into clubs/bars - even if they had other forms of ID. There was only one person on my tour who was under 21, but I've heard from other trips that some underaged people got in just blending in with the group. However I'm sure if there's a group of you who can't go out, you'll all have a lot of fun! Night life in a lot of cities are interesting without clubbing.

Hope that was helpful. I can't wait until I can go on another Contiki trip - it was so much fun. Can't believe it's a month since it ended already!
