I recently booked this trip, was wondering if anyone else was heading at this time??

I'm thinking of booking this trip within the next few days. When do you get into Rome?

Hey everyone. I'm Heather/24 from Canada, and I'm booked on this tour as well. Leaving Canada on Aug 25th, to meet in Rome on the 26th. Travelling with a girl friend of mine and we're super excited. This'll be my second Contiki (I did the European Discovery last Sept) and we're all in for a super fun time. Now I just need to get in bikini shape for the Greek Island Touring.. lol!

Hey everyone. I'm Mo and I'm from Canada too! I'm leaving Canada on Aug 25th and arrive in Rome on Aug 26th around 11am. I'll probably do some sightseeing before meeting up with everyone. Let me know if you guys would like to meet up on the 26th.

Hey again. Where are you from in Canada Mo? I'm from Winnipeg and my friend is traveling from Ottawa, but we're both Newfs lol!

We're leaving Canada on Aug 24th, getting there the morning of the 25th and will then have 2 full days to explore on our own before meeting up with the group on the night of the 26th. I still haven't booked a hotel for that first night but am hoping to stay at the same place contiki has us booked. Feel free to come looking for us when you arrive.

This will actually be my second time in Rome, so I want to throw out there that everyone should go read Angels & Demons (or at least go see the movie lol) before the trip. It takes place in Vatican and around Rome and I found it super cool to actually picture the churches and landmarks in the book. Plus, Dan Brown rocks and it's a must read

I'm signed up for this tour also (Rome to Athens + Greek Cruising starting AUG 25th). This will be my 5th Contiki! My friend Mary Beth is coming also and it's her first Europe trip. We can't wait! -- vonnie

I hope there isn't a rookie "initiation" Vonnie hasn't told me about....

Oh and Heather, I've read "Angels & Demons", so good! Not sure if I should see the movie before the trip, it might ruin the excitement of seeing these buildings for the first time!

Wow, all things are now set! Flight to Rome, flight from Athens, and hotel room in Athens for afterwards all booked!
Now I am just waiting for the contiki papers to arrive.
Does anyone know if you can store your luggage at the hotel before you can actually check in? Otherwise I might store my luggage in a locker at Rome Termini Station.

btw, anyone doing the tour without the cruise?
