Ohhh GOOD!! I'm traveling alone I think- just really anxious to go and don't really want to wait on my friends who can't get vacation time- so I'm hoping everyone who does this tour is really outgoing and friendly! I'm getting excited!
Yea, it's going to be a great trip and I'm sure everyone will be outgoing and looking to have a fantastic time! I know a few ppl who have done Contiki and they absolutely loved it. Feel free to private msg me your email/MSN to chat.
I booked separately because I'm backpacking for 3 weeks prior to the Contiki tour. Are you guys doing the 3 day Greek island cruise as well or just the Rome to Athens trip?
I know someone already asked, but are most people here taking just the Rome to Athens tour without the crusie? Or are some taking the cruise- I've been going back and forth on which one to book.
This tour looks so fun, I'm getting so psyched- august needs to get here now!
I just booked my spot on this tour so I'm officially going. God those stimulus checks couldn't have come at a better time. I decided to do just the tour, to save me some money and also to allow myself to explore the mykonos that weekend. I think someone had posted that they're going to the mykonos after the tour too- did yall already book your hotel? I already booked a room for that Friday night but everything for Sat seems really booked already. I also think that the tour with the greek sailing will overlap with just the regular tour, so that should be fun/we'll be able to meet and hang out with both contiki groups. Should be fun! ALSO- sorry this is such a massively long post- what do yall think of suitcase vs those huge backpack?
hey guys and gals, I'm considering this tour as well. I haven't ever travelled solo before, or with Contiki, for that matter, but I've got some great recommendations from friends. Sounds like fun! Does anyone know what it means on the website when it says that tour date is not a guarenteed departure? (Does that just mean they need to have a certain number of people sign up before they can go?) and in response to your question, I think I'm definitely going with the roll-y suitcase instead of huge backpack, since it's not a "backpacking" type of tour and it's a lot easier on the back...
