Vietnam is a very affordable travel destination and this is one of the main appeals.

As an example of cost 500 ml of local beer bia hoi around 30-50 Australian cents depending on where you go.

For a meal in a proper restaurant i.e large lobster or seafood banquet,dessert, couple of round of drinks around the 15-20A$.

Local street food $1-1.5A from a noodle knocker.

Spending cash is usually the least concern of travellers.Budget approx A$50 per day for everything and you'll probably have cash to bring back.
