Sarah for a 10+ day trip from Bangkok to Singapore I would recommend primarily utilising budget air carriers like airasia to get around.
If you're starting in Bangkok 2 days should be enough. From there some time spent in Phuket 3-4 days if you like a beach holiday. Another 2-3 days in Penang in Malaysia should also be included if you like beaches, local Chinese food , clubs, pubs- especially in Batu Ferringhi area.If you're based in Penang you could also take a hydrofoil daytrip to Langkawi Island- Its a Malaysian version of Halong bay but with lots of nicer beaches, duty free shops, ecotourism- diving, fishing, jungle canopy walks , sailing. A local bus ride or train down to Kuala Lumpur( about 5 odd hours) is also highly recommended as you're travelling through the state of Perak which is a scenic mountanious area.2 days in K.L should be enough -its basically a large city- Just shopping and eating but there are daytrips to Genting highlands, Sunway lagoon water park, Melaka cultural city. From KL fly down to Singapore - Its another city state but its a lot more developed for tourism. 2-3 days. |

I found this cool tour company called Goway.com and they have this one tour that goes from Singapore to Thailand in about 12 days. It looks pretty cool. I am taking this one in 2011 on my return to Asia

You could consider this:
http://www.gapadventures.com/t...singapore/ATRM/2009/ or this: http://www.intrepidtravel.com/trips/MRS If you don't mind organized backpacking. Other companies might be a little questionable as they might cater for retired people which you will certainly feel out of place on tour. |

Am Singaporean, and I suggest that if you are looking to fly from Thailand to Singapore, you can check out a few budget airlines, www.airasia.com, www.jetstar.com, www.tigerairways.com, all reliable airlines that I've flown before myself.
Do drop me an email if you wanna ask any questions or find out anything abt Singapore! |
