What day do you get to Chicago on? I get there on the 11th staying that night in some random hostel then heading to the pre tour accomodation on the 12th staying for 2 nights.

I will be on the Grand Northern tour leaving NY on the 3rd Aug. As far as I understand, everyone on the Grand Northern, the North by North East tour (leaving NY on the same day but finising in Chicago) and your tour will all be on the same bus, so worry not there are many more of us. Just have a look under the Grand Northern message board for the 3rd Aug.

Below is where my tour itenerary meets yours, so perhaps we can all arrange to meet up to explore Chicago together?

•Day 10: Cleveland to Chicago (12th Aug)
Sweet Home, Chicago! This city is great – awesome architecture, raw blues, cosmopolitan shopping, and hot bars. After the road crew introduces you to this cool place with a sightseeing tour, why not enjoy a night out on the town? (B) Hotel

•Day 11: Chicago at leisure (13th Aug)
Catch a birds eye view of the city on top of the world’s tallest building, sink your teeth into Chicago’s famous thick crust pizza, or ponder the glories of this city’s smart museums – today is your day to get out there and blow through this “Windy City.” Meet up with your touring buddies for another night of fun in America’s third largest city. Yea I second what Rachael said, you should check out the Grand Northern message board for the Aug 3rd departure as we will all be on the coach together and it will be good for you guys to have an idea of some of us as we would have been on tour for 10days or so already, anyway I am sure Chicago will be a great ice breaker and so I look forward to seeing you all there!

well on GN now and it is going well, we have a good mixed group and so you all should be fine getting to know us. It may need you to be brave and make first moves but we are all nice and so should be easy, fun times will be had! Def try catch up with us in Chicago, look forward to seeing all!
