My mate and I fly in on the 11th in the morning and are staying at the royal the night before the tour (just confirmed today) looking forward to meeting up with all you guys and gals for a pre tour beer.

We've got 6 nights after the tour in london before we fly back out, haven't decided what we are doing for that week, got some friends over there to catch up with and some sights to see.

Just think, in 9 weeks time we will be in France!

Hey, just curious how much money are you guys taking for the tour?
Like for all the optional extra's, food and spending money?
Just not sure if im saving enough....
There is always credit i guess!

A lot of people say allow 100 euro a day for the tour plus what ever optionals you want, but it does depend on how much you eat, drink, shop etc.

I'm using that as my absolute minimum and trying to get as much more as possible.

Also got the credit cards if needed

hey, im taking a suitcase. i looked into gettting a backpack, but decent ones are really expensive and dont really have that much space in them. Also a friend went on contiki a few years back and she said she was laughing with a suitcase when everyone was luggin their back packs around she was wheeling her suitcase up the hill. lol.
Just as long as its not too big? have you read the size restrictions?

I'm going with the suitcase as well, but I'm not spending much time over there not on the tour, got a 5 week trip total, so for me the suitcase will be fine, If i was planning on doing a lot of travel outside of the tour I would probably think more seriously about a back pack, but I can get my hands on a decent size suitcase for free off a mate and the money I save there can be spent on other things I need for the trip, like a camera.

Just remember the size and weight limits.

Suitcase can't be any bigger than 73cm x 50cm x 25cm and cant weigh more than 20kg, they weigh the bags in london before putting them on the bus and tend to be pretty strict depending on how full the bus is. They also sell their own luggage so they will make you change bags if its to big.

In 2 months time we will be in Barcelona!
