Hey, I think were on the same tour! we leave on the 6th but the actually tour starts on the 8th I believe. I'm going with my two friends and were so excited! its our first contiki tour too!

Hey, looks like I'll be travelling with you guys... Doing it on my own, can't wait! My first Contiki too - I'm pretty sure my liver is gonna explode in anticipation, lol. Just trying to save enough money to make sure I can... err... enjoy all the activities This tour is the start of a two and a half month trip through Europe, finishing off in Egypt. I'm from Melbourne, so I'm gonna be loving the endless Summer!

Lol, yeah, I'm trying to keep fit for the next couple of months, but then just before the tour I figure I'll start drinking regularly to build up my tolerance, lol. I want to TRY and remember the tour

Though I'm going alone, I do feel nervous, but mostly about when I've left the tour and am travelling completely on my own. I'm so gonna accidentally do something stupid and end up in prison for the next 20 years, lol. Still, at least I'll be in Europe, he he.

Less than 70 days to go! Only problem is I've still got so much to do... get my shots, arrange a backpack, work out what the hell to take (or not take, lol), and, most importantly, work out what kind of stuff to take for the dress up parties. Do I go Toga (safe), take a dress (and try explaining it to customs, lol), or just accept I'm probably going to end up doing the Full Monty? :P So many decisions...

Of course, I'm only joking. My aim is to be well behaved!

The shots are not really for the European component of my trip, more because I'm travelling down to Egypt as well. Gecko's, the tour company I'm going with, recommended I get shots for Hep A and B, Typhoid and Polio (plus some more but I'll speak to my doctor first - things like yellow fever, Tetanus and rabies). The water situation down there isn't too great, so I'm guessing that is a large part of it. For the European side of things, I don't think we need to worry too much. Though I'll def find out if I can sign up for anti-alcohol poisoning shots Hope it's like the flu vaccine, where they give you a dose of what they're trying to protect you from, lol. "I'll have a shot of vodka, thanks Doctor" lol.
