Hi - I just booked my European Escapade Tour and am departing July 4th. I'm travelling alone, so I'm looking to talk to some people on-line before heading off to the great unknown. Also, I'll be in London for 3 days before the trip departs and would love to meet up with some of my fellow travellers! I would love to hear from you...

Myself and 2 friends are going on the European Escapade tour on 4 July and will be in London 2 days prior to leaving. Are you staying in the Contiki accommodation beforehand? We would love to meet up with you! Are you travelling at all after the tour?

We are all 23 and from Sydney, Australia.

After the tour, 2 of us are heading to the Greek Islands and then I will be travelling by myself for about 6 wks.

Time is definitely sneaking up, I am so excited!!!

That's super exciting that we get to London the same day. I think my flight gets in around 9 or 10 in the morning. How about you?

I don't have anything too much planned for London either, but I would like to see a couple shows in the West End and possibly take a day trip to see the Stonehenge or Bath or Wales or something like that.

Where are you traveling after the tour? Have you decided yet or are you just going to play it by ear?

Just under two months and we'll be arriving in London!

Our flight gets in at around 630am so will be around to meet you at the accommodation.

We would love to see shows in the West End and have been discussing Stonehenge etc. We were also thinking of going to the Cotswolds after the tour.

Two of us are going to the Greek Islands from 4-14 August and then I am by myself until the end of September. I haven't made any plans as yet, was hoping to meet new people and play it by ear.

I am getting really excited about the trip! It's only two months away, time will fly!

Hey Natalie and Rochelle,

I just graduated so it's time to start thinking about this trip!! Myself and my buddy Chris will be doing the July 4th Escapades trip. We arrive on the 4th in London, so we won't meet you guys until then at the earliest. We're both 23 from Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

I guess we have a day or so in London before starting the trip, so if you guys see some worthwhile sites in London, can you let Chris and I know. I didn't see a Facebook page, so if you guys want to add us, or want me to start one I would be happy to do so.

I have been told by our travel agent that the July 4 tour is no longer running due to lack of numbers, so we have been put on the July 8 one. Maybe you guys should check with Contiki and see what is happening?

We are still getting to London on the 2nd and would be happy to meet up and do some sightseeing or catch up for a drink.

Hey all,

After I got your msg last week about the July 4th tour being cancelled I called Contiki. They told me that it was still a go and that it was actually sold out so it definitely wouldn't be cancelled. This matches the information that is on the website too if you check tour availability there. Maybe do a triple check Rochelle to see what's up. I'm really hoping you're still on our trip!

I hope it's not pushed to the 8th.. I just received my departure and arrival times from my agent last week, so hopefully it's still a go. Anyways, I am going to create an FB group to see if we can meet anyone else prior to the trip. I didn't know about this community forum until last week, so others could be in a similar position as I was. Anyways, I am getting stoked and can't wait to meet you guys and get this trip started!
