Hey Natalie,

It turns out that my friend and I will be attending this tour instead since the 27th departure got cancelled. We've purchased London Passes which are great deals, you should take a look.

www.londonpass.com

We'll be touring all over the place now that we've got a week in London (arrive on 24th). Email me if you want to hook up.

Hey everyone!

My friend and I are also on this trip (departing April 29th from London). We leave ontario on the 25th, and are going to spend a few days hanging out in london before the tour.  Hopefully we will all bump into each other before the tour starts?

My MSN/email is rae_kirsten@hotmail.com.  Msg me & we can maybe make some plans. I've been to London once before but there is so much to do...any advice/ideas would be awesome.
See ya in two months!

Kirsten

Hello All!

I'm one of the girls traveling with Shirley Smiler she my bestest friend in the whole wide world (don't roll yours eyes, Shir). Shirleyand I are leaving Calgary sun Apr 23/06 and staying in London for 5 nites before we start the tour on Sat Apr 29/06. Our other friend, Charlene is meeting up with us after her final exams on Apr 26/06.

Name's SueAnne.... and i am getting SOOOOO excited about this tour!!!!!
Especially with so many Canadian girls going its gonna ROCK! Cause we all know that Canadian girls kick @ss... at least that's what my T-shirt says...... ;o)

So Shirley gave me the address to a blog site of a guy who took this tour last year and its gotten me SOOO EXCITED about this trip!
Check it out: http://www.hands-on-design.net/euro2k5

A couple of questions though:
Does anyone know how much euros to bring on this tour? Ie: for 1/2 of the dinners, lunchs, optional activities, souvenirs?

Also, how much luggage are we allowed? like one carry-on and one backpack?

Anyways,
CIAO FOR NOW!
SueAnne

Hey guys

I just paid for my tour today so I am locked in. Yey! I am from sunny Australia so I hope you don?t mind having an Aussie on the tour. Be careful what you say because I am sure there will be quite a few of us.

This will be my first trip to Europe and the first time travelling on my own so it is all a little bit scary and very exciting at the same time. However, I am looking forward to seeing a lot of friendly faces on 29 April. Not long to go.

See you all soon

Heyyyy Tour Mates Whats up???
I was also wondering along with SueAnne how much money you guys are planning to bring for the tour... I dont know how much luggage we are allowed.. I am under the impression its a carry-on and your suitcase or backpack or whatever. Anyways Kerry, Alyssa and I will be arriving in London on April 26th.. like Shirley and her friends we are gonna grab a London Pass and check out the sites before we head off on the tour. Would be great to meet up with all you guys and have some pre tour fun!! haha. Cant wait to be done school and head off to Europe... only a month and a bit away and it will come before we know it!!!!
See you all soon,
Cheers!!!

Yay!!!
A boy on the trip! How fun that'll be! And an Aussie at that! Mark, just remember that you just might be outnumbered by Canadian girls, hope that won't be an issue Red Face)

Krista, I think Shirley and I planned about $100 Cdn a day to convert to mostly Euros but some English Pounds as well because we'll be arriving in London on April 24th and spending about 5 nites there. And from what I've heard, London is HORRIBLY expensive. Remember to leave a day in London for shopping ;o) If you want, I totally think that we should group together and tour London before our departure to Paris.

Does any one know of any nice nightclubs in London? Thought we'd check it out before the tour starts.

Just the spending money I have to save up for now!! Excited theres a lot of us Canadian Chicks on board this tour as well!! My t-shirt happens to say the same thing as SueAnne's "Canadian Girls Kick Ass!" ;-) haha. Well its raining up a storm here in Vancouver as per usual.... cant wait to head off to Europe!! Does anyone know what the weather is suppose to be like in the different countries during the time we go..?? Anyways guys, super excited... Only a month a bit to go!!! Hey Everyone,

Just finished filing my taxes and got myself a $1200 tax refund (guess where this will go). If you had income for 2005, it's more than likely that you'll get a refund since the tax credit increased. I suggest you file your taxes before you leave to get some extra spending money.

Busy organizing my train schedule for backpacking after the tour right now. World Cup here I come!

Anyhow, here's our tentative schedule for London (yeah, Sue, this is the first time that you're seeing this). Feel free to join us if you want, just email me to make arrangements: shirley.tripletear@gmail.com

24:  Arrive in London and check into Royal National around noon
Spend rest of afternoon at British Museum

25:  Day trip to Hampton Court

26:  Wandering / free sight-seeing / photos / shopping

27:  Exchange of the Guards (Buckingham Palace)
Another friend arrives at Royal National around noon
Prime Meridian / Zero Longitude (Greenwich)

28:  London Pass sight-seeing
(St. Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, free cruise,
Tower of London, maybe a free cinema at night)

This is not final until I get my tour documents from Contiki.

Hi SueAnne

I think I should be able to handle it. I grew up watching Degrasi so I think I know what I am in for. Does contiki do refunds?

Hey Marky,

I think Contiki does full refunds if THEY make a mistake (cancelling a tour, etc.) but if you can cancel for personal reasons, they I think they do partial refunds depending on when you cancel. I'm not completely certain, but call contiki to make sure.

And I know how to deal with bad Aussies, I watch Crocodile Dundee ;o)

And GIRLS...... I got in touch with a few people who know the ins and outs of London, Paris and Vienna nite life.... so you guys are welcome to hit those clubs with me Red Face)

CAN'T WAIT!
