Hi, Im booked on the 4th of june escapade tour, yeah I know it is early but is there anyone else who has booked on that tour yet! Im excited already and would love to hear from fellow travelers.
I have just booked the trip starting 4th of June as well. I am 23 from Brisvegas and going solo. I will be heading over a couple of days early to see London and then have a week after to recover and do some more sightseeing. What are your plans?
Can't wait!

Great to hear someone else is going! I arrive in London on the 2nd of June and am also hanging round for 6 nights after before returning home to work. Im 24, from little old tassie and also going by myself. Anyway feel free to email me at ali2ski@yahoo.com.au
I've just booked the same tour. I will be arriving in London early May with my best friend to tour Great Britain and Ireland before she goes home and I continue to Europe solo. I'm 25 (26 by then) travelling from Brisvegas as well.
Look forward to meeting you both.

Its great to hear that I'm not the only one going by myself on this trip, look forward to meeting you all!!! I dont have any holidays from work till i go away so I'm really counting down the days, what do you guys do to fund your trip? Im a nurse and trying to do all the overtime I can.
Ian your trip sounds awesome. I was wanting to do exactly the same thing, except with my Dad. I added up the figures and it was a bit too much so I just decided to do the contiki tour. I'm thinking of doing it in a couple of years now so you'll have to give me some tips when we meet up.
Guys, how much spending money do you think we need? I'm budgeting on say $150 per day plus credit cards if I get in trouble. So far I'm on track with my savings but its not much fun!
Only 139 days to go!!!!

I was thinking at least $150, maybe closer to $200 a day just in case. It?s not like I plan on spending that much everyday, but its always better to over budget then under budget, right? Plus there are days when we get to do a whole bunch of extras if we want, going out to party, not every meal is included, plus if you are wanting to buy souvenirs for people or yourself...everything can add up so quickly! I plan on going paragliding, I'm so excited! I am horrible, I know how much I want to have in my savings for Europe before I go, and I keep going out, need to stop that and save! About 4 1/2 months left to go!!

Any good ideas on saving? Quite hard when all your friends are still going out every weekend. Last few weeks I have been volunteering to be the designated driver. It works about half of the time. The other half my car gets abandoned and I end up catching a taxi the next day anyway. Crazy!
Katie I am assuming your talking Canadian dollars which makes my saving plan look even worse. It seems like your going to have an action packed 25 days. But hey, we can't have it any other way!!

I've just booked to go on this trip! yay. My name is emma, i'm 21 and i'm from the UK. I've booked to go with my boyfriend stephen who is 20. We're really excited and hope that you lot won't ignore us just because we're a couple! hehhehehehehehe Read so many logs of people who have already taken this trip and it sounds amazing! Glad to hear that you're all looking forward to it so much aswell, and can't wait to meet you all on the day! We are really undecided about how much money to take, i think we're going to budget for around 40 per day, don't know how much that is in dollars!???? As for you're saving, don't give in to the temptation of going out, it will be worth it in the end! Also, is everyone staying at the royal national the night before? Think we may be doing, but not 100%.
Hi Emma, Yeah I am actually staying at the royal national for the two nights before as I get in to london on the 2nd, I'm sure no one will ignore you it's cool that you have someone to go with and it will be great to meet up with everyone the night before. As for saving yeah it is pretty hard, I was aiming for about $100-$150 per day and also allowing for all the optionals that I want to do. 40 pounds is $95 and 150 canadian dollars is about $175, so I hope that I am budgeting about right as I don't really know how much things cost but I will always have the credit cards to fall back on! Emma where abouts in the UK are you from? If you know, whats the weather like in London in June (So I at least have a rough idea what to pack for the first few days)?
It is really hard to figure how much spending money to take, but as we get beakfast and dinner included a lot of the days then its only for the excursions and drink really. I think you will be budgeting for enough there anyway!
I come from the north of England its about 4 hours from London. The weather should be about 20 degrees, although it has been known to snow in June! The English weather is so unpredictable! I think we will probably be staying in the National, especially if we have to leave London at 6.30 in the morning!
Hey everyone! It is so awesome to hear from new people joining this tour! I can't believe its in less then 4 months now! I want to start packing already!!
And you guys have convinced me that I dont need as much money as my mom thinks I do. She's just worried that I will run out I think, and she doesn't want me to starve, but I think I will be fine with what I got.
Greg, one way I am saving, when going out with my friends, is NOT bringing money, 'cept for cab. That way I'm not tempted at all, plus its probably easier for me to get my guy friends to buy me drinks, eh? Just joking!
I think that everyone is staying at the Royal National, it must be included in the package, is it not?
