Hey guys, me and my friend jess are both goin on the European Escapade! Departing 26th june..... can't wait to go. Is anyone else stayin at the royal national hotel the nite before, we should catch up and hav a few drinks. anyone from melb goin?

Heya,
I'll be going on the same tour as you both. I will be staying at the Royal National the night before, but my flight from Brisbane won't get in until 3pm so I won't be at the hotel until around 6pm. Yeah can't wait for this - only 3 weeks left!! I'm staying at the royal national as well, i get into heathrow at 6 the day before the tour - so a few welcome drinks and meeting everyone would be great. What is everyone looking forward to seeing?? bring on Barcalona :P See ya all in london  |

woooooooooohooooooooooooo- ooo! no not long now! :-) I'm so looking forward to the whole trip, but Barcelona is definitely one I'm so keen on! As for backpacks/ day bags...I'm taking a backpack to store all my gifts in, but it also has a smaller backpack for my day trips zipped onto it (if that makes sense), so I'm hoping they will let me on with that? Otherwise my knees will be up around my ears on the bus!!!
May I fly in around 3pm on the 25th of June to Heathrow, so I should be in my hotel around 6pm? Is everyone using the shuttle bus or are they using the tube? I'm a bit undecided! hmm, shuttle bus and tube both sound a bit dodge if you're travelling by yourself with all yours bags and stuff. mind you the only other alternative is a taxi, which will be expensive....

hey ya guys definately not long now!!! I have a small back pack that zips on to my bigger bag so i'll use that otherwise i'll prob take a bag that goes across my shoulder. I arrive in to Heathrow on SQ 322 @ 5:50am on the 25th. Is anyone else on that flight?? I think i'll probably take the tube to paddington then through to Kings cross St Pancras which is only 1 stop from Russell square and the royal national. It's supposed to be a hell of a lot quicker than the bus! I think i'll be checking out the sights of London on the 25th if anyone wants to meet up earlier and do the tourist thing email me koblerone85@hotmail.com.

If you're gonna take the tube, then just get off at russel square - its pretty much right behind the hotel.
or just use the bus from the terminal (any of the three at heathrow) which goes straight to the courtyard of the royal national: The Airbus A2 service travels to Russell Square and stops in the Royal National Hotels courtyard, via other West End Hotels. The Airbus service starts at 05:30 from Heathrow Terminal 3, 07:00 from Terminal two and just after Seven O Clock from Heathrow Terminal one. The last departure from Heathrow Airport for this service is 21:15. Journey times can take up to 75 minutes and the average cost is just six pounds per journey. As for sightseeing, i'm all set to go see stamford bridge and that's about an 45 minutes from the hotel - so by the time i've done that and been to the contiki basement, it'll be time for drinks with the you guys!! Only 6 days left, 4 days till i fly out, 3 days till my 21st!!!!
Gonna be the best week :P My vote is for everyone who's keen to meet up at the 'optional' meeting at 7 (or 6?? i dunno :P), and hit up the nearest pub after that. Does this sound ok to everyone?? any other ideas? Can't wait - just scored my holiday cash from work today as well, so i'm ready to roll 4 days early :-( gotta find something to do to kill off time now. I didn't know this board existed.... LOL. I"ve been too busy working to even think about this trip... now I"ve got two days to get everything together and pack.... anyvayz... I will be arriving at heathrow around 1 pm on the 25th and will be staying at the Royal National.
