@ irene - there's an article in the contikipedia for directions using the tube, and in general europe advice also has a map. The stop at Russel Square is approximately 45 minutes from the airport

Hi Gull i think a vast majority of people do the tour solo also- where abouts are you from. I'm from Sydney. I may be free that day also. I arrive on the 23rd morning doing the london tour organised via contiki.

Not long now everyone, i fly out tom Smiler

^ yeah it is a long weekend and very convenient to be coming in then as somebody from work was telling me.

a bit annoyed the champions league first leg of the final is on the day we leave for the tour, watching the game in a pub in london considering its a final would have been an experience in itself!

Re: London tour, the tour unlike Contiki is a pretty independent one, so you kind of choose the days that you want to see things.

Monday at this stage is the day I want to see most of the major sights ie: b palace, mad tassauds, tower of london etc.
And are you staying in royal also?

Cheers

i get in at about 6am on monday morning so was hoping to check in and drop my stuff off by about 9-9:30 then spend the day sightseeing.

same as you, b.palace, london eye, w.abbey, big ben etc.

could meet somewhere that morning then go from there...

Hi Bridget,

I'm doing the tour solo as well. I'm also staying at RN the night before. I think most ppl would, easier than getting around at 6 in the morning Smiler

Will See you then Smiler

I'll email you prolly from singa's airport as well. I'm staying on monday night at the Astor Kensington so i'll be going there first from heathrow. If you're there the day before scope it out at find a place to meet at about 10:30ish, my email is adcunha at iinet . net . au (obviously without the spaces). btw, what is your name?
