Hey!
      Is anyone going on the Eastern Road tour that starts on July 9?  I'm 21 years old and will be travelling solo.  I'm also staying an extra night in Berlin after the tour ends.  Would love to hear from anyone else doing this tour.

I think I am on your trip!  I actually leave on July 8th, but land in Berlin on the 9th.  I am from St. Louis, MO USA.  I am 28 years old and I'm also  going by myself.  It is great to find someone who is going to be on the same trip!!!

Cool, i'm really looking forward to the tour!  I'm from Melbourne, Australia and am going to first to London and then doing the Simply Italy tour before this one, and that tour ends the same day as this one starts, so I will be arriving in Berlin from Rome on the morning of the 9th.  Berlin should have be great on the 9th, with the World Cup final on that night (I think)...if you like soccer/football!

Great to meet you!!!  Hopefully, some other people on our trip will see this ad! 

I will be landing in Berlin in the afternoon around 3:00PM.  Hopefully, I won't be too out of it, cause I am flying from St. Louis.  I am excited about the trip!!!!!!  It will be great to be in Berlin during the World Cup.  I do like soccer, but don't know a whole lot about the teams and players though.  Either way it will still be a fun time!!!!!!  Maybe we can make our way close to the stadium that night!

I went on the European Discovery two summers ago and it blew me away! Munich was awesome!

I'm travelling with two of my best buds and we're making stops in London and Amsterdam before we find our own way to Berlin!

Im also doing the trip. this will be my 3rd trip with contiki and getting excited about it. Im 23 years old from Victoria Australia and is travelling alone. Only 3months to go, i cant believe that it will fly so fast and in no time it will get here.

But its great to know at all you are doing the tour if i decide to do it. Is taxi the best and safest way to get to the hotel from the airport? Cheers

Hi Jasmine,
                 With the taxi, I think it's probably the safest way to get to the hotel.  I'm arriving at Tegel airport and I did a bit of research and there are shuttle buses that go from the airport into Berlin, but the hotel is not really central so catching a shuttle bus would involve walking, getting a train or getting a taxi from the train station where the shuttle bus stops to the hotel.  The website for the hotel says a one way taxi fare from Tegel is about 20 Euros.  Hope this helps!

I'm not getting into Berlin (Schoenefeld) until 10.30am ish from Dublin, but i also intend to head into Berlin and soak up some of the athmosphere.
