Anyone going on the Eastern Road 20th Sept 08 Departure??
If you are, I would love to hear from you

I'm definitely going to be doing the Eastern Road in Sept 08. I just don't know which departure date yet. I'd like to go to Oktoberfest 08 also, so right now I'm trying to determine which Eastern Road would work best for that.

This departure falls during the Oktoberfest period. I won't be making it to Munich, but I am having 6 days in Berlin afterwards. I understand Potsdam has a pretty good Oktoberfest, and it is only 2 or so hours away. This is what i'll be attending

Sarah, I'll keep you posted on what I decide to do when I finalize the plans. I'm for sure gonna do an Eastern Road in Sept 08. Which tour I do is gonna be decided by whether or not I go to Munich for Oktoberfest. Are you gonna be travling with friends or solo?

I am going to be travelling solo.
I did a Contiki trip two years ago around Europe solo last time and I had a great time.

Im planning on the Eastern Rd tour that starts Aug30 '08 with a few days in Berlin pre-tour, after that venturing up to Estonia and Scandinavia for a few weeks. although im still playing with dates...

That sounds great. It would be great for me to also get to some of the other Eastern European countries (I would love to get to Russia), but unfortnately I only have so much leave.
Scandanavia sounds great - and it shouldn't be too cold yet. Are you doing that solo or with a tour?

Im gonna do the scandi tour with possibly a few extra days at the end in copenhagen and then finish my euro adventures in amsterdam hehe!

I have booked the tour, so I guess I will see you over there. I am really looking forward to my first trip to Europe and it will be the first of three tours that I am doing over there. Regards Damien

Hi Sarah,

Eastern Road is my first tour. After that I am off to Ireland with a stopover in London, where I will do my second tour. Then I am back to London for my third tour going through central Europe. In all about 6 weeks. I am from Australia.

What about you, what trips do you have plan and where are you from......

I am doing the Eastern Road tour, and then having 6 days in Berlin afterwards. I am going to do some day tours to Spreewald and Hamburg in my 6 days.
I am from Brisbane, Australia. It is my second Contiki Trip, with my first one in 2005 on the 21 day European Vista trip.

I arrive a couple days early for the tour and will spend 2 nights pre in Berlin before the tour.

I will actually be leaving the tour in Warsaw, as I fly to London and spend a couple days there.

I will have been travelling for about a month and a bit by the time i do the tour and this will be the first bit of my travels that i will be doing solo.
