Will do! this trip is a guaranteed departure so I'm guessing it will be a full tour true? My travel agent put me down for a triple share room which i am relieved/worried about, I just don't know what to expect. What country are you looking forward to most (apart form Hungary)

I have no idea if the tour will be full, I presume it will, any idea how many people make up a full tour? I am down for twin share I think. I hope there is some logic to how they allocate room-mates too!
I am looking forward to all of it to be honest. I have a bit of an interest in the war memorials and things due to family history so that will be a highlight for me.
What will be the highlights for you?
I counted, 16 weeks to the day until I leave! That sounds so far away still!

I can't believe it is only 16 weeks...that sounds really close to me. I am really looking forward to seeing the Berlin wall but apart from that the country that I look forward to changes nearly every week. This week it is Poland...except I am a bit apprehensive about Auschwitz, I hope it's not too sad.

Hello, Im Sara. My boyfriend and I just got on board for this trip as well. I am so excited! I am most excited about Hungry.

Its nice that they have this message board. I was hoping I would find some people that would also be going on the 7th-the 18th trip.

Is anyone else taking the bus back to Berlin to fly out of? I think we are going to do that since Berlin flights are cheapest.
Are most of you college students?

Phelon - yes I think it will be sad but good for us to see too. The more I talk to people the more excited I'm getting, gee I wish I could speed up time a bit!

I am excited for all of it (except the flight!)
Paul, my boyfriend, is excited to see poland the most since he is 100% polish. I am most excited to see budapest and see vienna for the second time (i thought it was truely amazing the first time).

I dont think you will be the oldest! there should be people of all ages. I am 23 and will be turning 24 on the trip (what a great way to spend a birthday) and Paul is 27.
What are you looking forward to most? have you been to europe before?-

Hello Sarah and Annie,

I was beginning to think Annie and I were the only ones going on the trip. I'm not at university but I fall into the age bracket seeing as I will be 19 on the trip.
I have been to Europe but only to Malta and Italy. I think this week I am most looking forward to the Czech Republic.
Can you believe I am so excited I have already started packing my backpack (truly sad)

Hello, Phelon ( I think I saw that was your name)!

I think its awesome that you started to pack! I cant say I havnt thought about it...although, its so cold here right now that I cant hardly imagine wearing anything that doesnt involve gloves, hats and winter jackets! Spring seems very far away!

I want the trip to get here soon but I need some more time to save up money haha!

I haven't been to Europe before so I am way excited by all of it! Even the flight is not yuk right now, but ask me again once I'm 10 hours into it and not so happy!!
I have started thinking about what I will need to take but given that we here in Australia are wearing all our summer clothes now it would be pointless for me to pack as I'd be unpacking again because I wanted a particular tshirt or something! I have already bought a Lonely Planet book and been researching where we are going and am totally shattered that we won't be anywhere near Innsbruck because I love Swarovski.
I too want the trip to be sooner but also need the time to save!

yeah I have that same problem too with the packing and unpacking, but I have bought clothes that I am saving especially for the contiki that are sitting in my backpack.
I know what you mean about needing more time to save up. I hope I can get enough money to go over to London even if it's only for a week. I was looking over the optional activities and liked the idea of all of them pretty much. Have you guys considered which ones you were going to do?

Hello Bella!
Where are you from? What are you excited to seem most? Smiler

Phelon, for the optional activities we are planning to do the:
Berlin Dinner & Nightlife Tour, Traditional Czech Evening, Vienna Classical Concert & Dinner,River Cruise With Dinner, and maybe the Chopin's Music Piano Recital

The river cruise sounds the best to me!!! oh and I cant wait to taste the beer in the Czech!

Sara Jo I am really looking to the river cruise on the Danube too!

Hi Bella. Phelon and I are also travelling alone so don't worry. Plus you'll only be alone till you get to Berlin then you'll make heaps of friends! Tell us where you are from and what part you are looking forward to the most etc Cool

Im from Melbourne, and will turn 32 just before the trip. I was supposed to be travelling to Russia and Eastern Europe with a friend, but they recently pulled out, so i decided to go it alone. I am actually doing the Russia & Scandinavia tour before this tour on May 12th, and will be in Berlin by myself for just under a week before this tour starts, so i guess thats what im nervous about!
I am really looking forward to the art and music in Vienna, and the architecture in Prague Smiler
