I was wondering if anyone else is travelling on this date.

I am!  Have you booked your trip, or are you considering this date?

Hi there,
I've actually booked this trip as it is a "guaranteed departure". I've also been to quite a number of these cities on this tour. Prague , Vienna and Berlin are my favourites on this itenarary.Travelling is addictive. Will spend a week in Zurich  , prior to flying off to Berlin.
Have a great chistmas and take it easy.

Hello,

Yes, the "guaranteed departure" was what convinced me to pick this date as well.  Travelling is definitely addictive!  Prior to flying to Berlin, I will be spending a month travelling around Great Britain.  I haven't been to any of the cities on this tour, so I am quite excited.  Happy holidays, and have a fantastic ******mas!!

Hi there,
Which part of Canada are you from? In my opinion Canada certainly has one of the best sceneries in the world especially in the western part around Vancouver to Calgary. In June of 2005 I was in Scandinavia and Norweigian scenery reminded me of a trip to the national parks of western Canada.
I'm from Perth in Western Australia and its mediterrenean in climate with us celebrating ******mas in 30+ degree C temps.
Happy new year and all the best for 2006. Hope to meet up with you on tour.

Hello,
I am from Western Canada, Edmonton to be exact.  Canada absolutely has some of the best scenery in the world, and it is beautiful in both winter and summer.  Unfortunately I have not travelled to Australia (yet) but many of my friends have, and they tell me that it is gorgeous, which I can definitely imagine.  Our winter was uncharacteristically warm this year; on ******mas day it was only approximately -5 degress C, and there was no snow!!  Happy New Year to you as well, and we should definitely meet up on tour.

Hello,

I will also be joining you on the June 4 trip!  I am from the United States, and this is my first trip to Europe.  I also signed up because of the guaranteed departure on this date, and I am very excited about the trip!

Hi there,
Great choice of tour as Eastern europe offers a different side of Europe. The Czech republic is certainly one of the most unique countries I've visited. The majority of the country still retains its medieval buildings  and  Prague is definately one of the prettiest cities. Its looks like a fairy tale come to life. The beer and food in particular are extremely cheap. Beer costs less than bottled water in the Czech republic. 4 months and 1 week till the tour . Just can't wait.
Take is easy and that's all for now.

Hey all,

OK, so I just paid for the trip, so it is set in stone - I am going.  Very excited!!!!  Anyway, seeing that I don't speak a lick of German and will be flying into Berlin, how does this work?  Is there a designated Contiki place at the airport?  Maybe all this is covered when Contiki sends out the final paperwork - haven't received it yet...

Less than 3 months to go!!!

Jason

Hi there,
Contiki will provide information on the best ways to reach the hotel meeting point .
There are 3 airports in Berlin , Schonefeld, Tegel and Templehof and there are buses and S-bahn rail lines to the Kufurustendamm (main shopping district of Berlin). From there its a simple taxi ride to the hotel.
Most Germans speak basic or broken English in the main cities and if you can learn basic Hoch Deutsch ( high German) that will be very helpful in your holidays.
Less than 90 days to go.

No I haven't received anything from Contiki yet.  I signed up for the trip through AAA Travel.  How far in advance is the travel package supposed to be sent? - I need to know if I need to beat up my travel agent!
