Hi! I'm a 25 year old female from NYC traveling solo. The Eastern road trip sounds great, but I'm kind hesitant about booking anything just yet. Anyone reading this been on/know anyone whose been on this tour that can offer some insider tips/advice? I've been to a lot of western Europe, which is why I'm looking into heading out east. Guess I'm looking for a combination of both culture and partying. What type of people would you typically find on a trip such as this one? (I'm sorry, I do recognize how broad and subjective that question is...but maybe someone can help!?)I'm also pretty nervous about traveling alone...will it be easy to meet people on tour? Thanks for your help!
nealry half the people on each contiki trip are alone, i went alone last summer and im going alone again this summer, it the best way to go- you meet so many people...contiki is def always a party.
I second that - The first Contiki I took I was on a solo mission and this Spring I'll be going solo again... No need to worry - You'll meet heaps of people!
I'm going on the eastern road on 30th August and can't wait! I'd doing this tour alone, but will have just done the european impressions on 13 July! Can't wait!!
Hey! Myself and 3 friends just booked the Eastern Road for July 11th. My aunt is a travel agent and she said that the Eastern Road is amazing! In her words, the places that you see on this tour are "Hot Spots" right now. Although I have never been on a Contiki trip before, I have heard from her as well as some friends that there are a number of people who go solo. I also heard that it is a definate party!
